last thing you wanna do is give kids low self esteem issues, and that sign would do that.
Plenty of ways of getting your point across rather then making a fool of your child IMO

lol, humiliation tatics, must of learned it from the american army in Iraq, but applauds to the mother, at least she is doing something, instead of accusing people of being racist.

Self image means a lot to kids today, they wear fancy clothes, buy expensive cell phones, jewelry, and adopt antisocial behaviours popularized some of the rap artists. Kids aren't afraid of jail time, or of having a criminal record anymore, if anything, it'll be something to brag about to friends. Like how some rap artists show off how many gun shot wounds they have. Sticking it to "the system" has become cool. But, being humiliated, and by your mother no less, must be extremely painful. Self esteem issues my ass, some of these kids need to be knocked down a notch or a dozen; they think they can do anything they want.

These mothers are doing good. There is a certain image these days that the media pertains to black people (Im not just talking about the RAP/Hip Hop media but news also, look at what CNN and Fox News did and shown the world of the black people in New Orleans during the Hurricane). These mothers are helping their children turn away from the way society expects their kids to turn out and help steer them in the right direction. You guys gotta give the moms' credit. If the kids won't listen to punishment or just plain won't listen to anything, you have to do something drastic to change them and get them on the right path.
