you don't need a 'certificate' to be a Pharmacist. It's a second entry professional program, exactly like Medicine and Dentistry
in the US and in Canada soon, all pharmacy degrees are Doctorate level

and they make WAY more than $20/hr...as a Pharmacy Student I make that much

If you're good at sales, you can make much more then $20/hr, I"m not talking about retail sales, I'm talking commission types. Tons out there. Been doing it for over a year now.

Other types of jobs, you can be a cleaner for a hospital, pays around $20, or nursing homes as well as working in their nutrition dept. These are my suggestions if you can't do the University/college/apprentice way

Who's the fraud that told you this fairytale? No legal job is tax free.

A pharmacist makes more than $20 an hour? Wow.

I heard that bank tellers make peanuts, about $10.50 an hour.

If you want a job that requires no education, and has insane pay, become an industrial roofer. From what I was told, even the guys spreading the tar make 65K a year or more.

Of course, it's one of the crappiest jobs in the world in the summer, but if you're tough enough...

maybe in the past but not anymore.
bus drivers require university degrees. only exception i can think of is if you have "connection" or previously worked as a bus driver
so many people are applying for this job how do you think they are going to select the right candidates? they first throw away the resumes without education, then high school, then college. and left with only university resumes to look at to make their lives easier.

so dont think that bus driver is a easy job to get it's not. $20/hr is not easy, education is important.

i got this information from my college professor i found it unbelievable at first but i dont think he was lying. He had been a manager for various companies and he knows the hiring process and a lot of stuffs.

wait, someone say you could get a job at the government doing nothing and get paid $20/hour? Honestly, if anyone knows any jobs at the government that pays (I don't care if it's minimum) me for doing practically nothing I'll apply ASAP.

Perhaps I should start a new thread on government jobs that are easy to get into?

what company do u work for? many it jobs like rogers/ibm for first level analysts make like 16-17 bucks an hr. Some pay a lot less as we'll, like a couple of webhosting companies were hiring for like 13 bucks an hr, horrible. But you are correct, there's tons of it positions out there that pay 20+/HR.

As for other positions, you can start off welding for like 25/hr, mailmen/women make over 20$/hr easy, sales, painting - 25hr+, bricklaying 25-30/hr (I used to to do this), pretty much anything in construction is 20+/hr.

i agree with the professional hobo thing, you can make a good $$$ with little effort depending on the location.

on a side note, if your are going to give a homeless person money, keep in mind that they will most likely spend it on booze, drugs and cigarettes over more important things like food. rather than giving them money, give them $1 gift certificate to a fast food restaurant so they can get a cup of coffee instead of a cheap bottle of rubbing alcohol to get fried on.

Getting into TTC or the government is very very difficult. But they are easy jobs and decent paying. Hence, no one ever leaves these jobs unless u retire. Best way to get in is through connections. They like to keep things within the family so to speak.

I wonder why no here is suggesting Sales????

There is so much money in that area to make. Is it because most people prefer to play it safe and get an hourly wage only?

Hmm... True I guess sales not for everyone, I"m not really that outgoing either. But it really is potentially one of the highest paying jobs anywhere.

Someone once told me something like only 10% of people in Canada make over $100,000 a year, and of those people 70% or more are in sales. Something like that anyways. Seriously Sales(commission), is probably one of the most easiest jobs to get, but not everybody wants to do it. Just look in the classifieds.

Me being in sales has really helped me get over my fear of standing up in front of people.

Someone else wants told me you can stick to what you currently make and be comfortable with that ($) or you can take a leap of faith and potentially make alot more ($$$$$$)

once u have no other choice....and get very desperate...u will get into sales...and maximize your potential to make the most money out of it....that's how most of the millionaires got started in the past....

Try double/triple that. I dated a pharmacist at one time, and she made $40/hour on a typical shift. When she worked relief, $50-60 was not uncommon. The daily work day routine is a killer though, sometimes 7-8 hours straight without a break.

Pharmacists...
It's not just a matter of the stress associated with the job (I guess this depends on your work environment/setting), but you are responsible for the care and medication management of your patients. You're armed with knowledge and you have to know how to apply it. It's a position where you are liable for the decisions you make, and where mistakes or overlooking things can kill lives.

I am an Infrastructure Analyst for EDS (tier III engineering), but even when I started 7 years ago I made over $18.00 an hour (now it would be higher) as a system administrator (tier II deskside support).
