So basically someone in my house lost a cellphone and we have no idea where it is. It’s not in the house because we cannot hear a ring tone. Someone could have stolen it or it was most likely dropped and lost somewhere. When I call the phone I hear the phone ring, which means it’s somewhere but no one picks up. After a while I get the standard customer is not available message. I have a feeling it’s stranded in some remote location, is there any service free or paid that will tell me exactly which area the phone is located?

I appreciate any information or any recommendation on what I should do, the last thing I want is someone abusing the phone but I don’t want to cancel it just now. Also is there a way to check if it's being used or anything?

The phone is a Motorola v551 blue model, with a basic $30 Rogers plan.

If you were with Bell Mobility you could use LOCATION BASED SERVICES to locate the phone.

Rogers has no such capability.

If it is stolen, call Rogers and have them see what the last set of calls were. If they were to numbers you do not recognize then you know that someone else has your phone.

Unfortunately it’s Rogers, thanks for the advice. Anyone else have any suggestions?

Appears to be lost, I have deactivated it. Hopefully it will turn up, I doubt it.

its time for a new phone, losing a cell phone sux but can be expected at least once in your life...

cell phone companies will hardly help track your phone, its more profitable for them to have customers buy another!
