Costco Cash Card

Don't know where else I can put this thread...
Anyway, I want to buy a Costco Cash Card for my friend who is not a costco member. The question is I believe that I was told that he will need to get a "one-day pass" in order to enter costco and use that cash card to make purchases. Does anyone know is there any cost for this "one-day pass" and do I have to go with him in order to get this pass for him?

I (non-member) bought a cash card with a member friend a month or so ago... I used the cash card the other day... so I went to the customer service desk and said I needed a one-day temporary shopping pass... they ask for your driver's license but I only saw them record the name... not the license #... then they write up a pass, and call for manager/some supervisor to sign it... then I entered the costco with that pass and shopped.

still have balance on cash card, I guess I'll go back and get another temp pass.

I'd assume that they would start getting suspicious if the same person keeps getting cash cards.
