Wow, great price and excellent quality. I bought a set last year from Costco and it's great even when I paid $50 for it. Looks like I may get another 1 or 2 sets incase I lose a piece.

The Queensway location in South Etobicoke still had probably around 20 of these last night. They appear very good quality, chrome vanandium steel. The metal finish is nice. I cannot comment on the quality of the gear mechanisms as I haven't used them yet.
I don't have a lot of experience with gear wrenches but from what I have been reading they can break under heavy use, if too much torque is applied trying to 'break' a rusted on or super tight nut.
I bought a set, I think I'll use them only when needed in tight spaces, as they can ratchet in 5 degrees of sweep, which is nice.
But these probably are best viewed as a nice accessory. A full set of traditional combination wrenches are probably still needed as they have the missing sizes and can take much more abuse. Maybe some of the mechanics here can comment as I'm just a weekend warrior.
All in all these wrenches are a super deal for the price though as a specialty tool for tight spots.

You are absolutely right. Won't replace a full set of combination wrenches, can't handle quite as much torque, but invaluable for tight spots & speedy turning.
