fyi guys- looking for a cheap dvd player? fs will have a kosch ps player for $30 nov 10-17 sale flyer- they also are now advtg xbox 360 for nov 22-
core syst. is $400- $500w/controller/HD/cables.

no, i don't work the BEST BUY Corp. (bb-fs)- otherwise i probably get my butt fired- let's just keep it between us RFD'ers- otherwise it might dissapear someday :)

looks like they have a decent 7.1mp olympus (good brand) digital cam for $350 as well. 20 limit per store though. ;)

that's a divx dvd player.... i have yet to see a divx compatible standalone selling for ~$30....

according to OP, its a progressive scan dvd player, nothing about divx...

Of course, use the same chip as the Philips DVP-642 (which is getting old, no Qpel/GMC)
The tray look fragile, mine died after a week, keep on loading the disk forever, had to open it to take it out

Correct me if I'm wrong, but WTF use is a "progressive scan" player without component/HDMI? I thought progressive scan made no difference in svideo/composite connections.

No, only 3xRCA, if you want to go cheap, use these as component and get an extra 2xRCA for the audio ;)

To me, if you're going to buy something to last a while, I would go with something that has a reputation, not some unknown brand.

Great deal! I bought this from FS about 2 or 3 months ago and use it at least 3-5 times a week without any probs. It plays practically everything so far. It only came with a 3 month warranty so for $10 I bought the 2 year (or 3, can't remember) extended warranty.

On the other hand, for $10 more u can get the refurb Philips from Clearance Centre mentioned on another post. Also a good choice.
