chances are if you're an odd demographic there might not be that many campaigns for you to do.

Yeah, I got the same welcome thingie in the mail.
I have been a member for 1 year and was offered 1 campaign so far.

It was one they have for a fancy waterproof Columbia jacket.
It wasn't free though. They were asking $65 US for the jacket saying that they were not provided free for this campaign and there were processing costs or whatnot.

I think the jacket you got though was worth almost 350$, so if you like Colombia jackets it might have been worthwhile.

I think they probably do better in the US as they are based there...so I wouldn't hold my breath too long if i were u! :twisted:

I initially signed up with my Canadian address, but then changed it to my US one. A day after I did that, I was offered a campaign and two blasts. I guess they don't have too many Canadian clients yet, but it can only be a matter of time.

It's a very interesting marketing concept, and apparently can be quite lucrative if you participate actively in a lot of surveys, campaigns, etc.

Plus, it's free.

I've been a member for a couple months now and signed up for the book buzz campaign and the Knorr Frozen Entree campaign. I just received the Knorr kit in the mail today. It came with a coupon for a free Knorr entree as well as coupons for you to buzz with, a sample of a good bzz report and tips on how to generate buzz. Pretty cool. Hopefully more Canadian campaigns will come our way...

Wait till you get your thing in the mail...then log in again and you will get a beginner campaign. That's what I have. Once you complete that than you get a chance to get free samples and stuff...

Here,s my update for Canada!
I spoke to someone (not going to say who, but someone responsible for the Canadian part of Bzzagent...) on the phone yesterday afternon for 30 min.
I had a couple of questions about Bzzagent and they called asking me a few things (can't disclose at the moment... ;)

But they are looking for more agents in Canada and are supposed to have 5 campaigns going on shortly.
They only have 10,000 members at the moment and the latest campaign is the Knorr skilllet meals one---where you can still sign up for that one.

It is really worth signing up as there are some really nice prizes you can get.
For 300 points you can get a Kitchenaid food processor!
(you get 30 points for each report you submit).

Bzzagent hasn't been in Canada that long, but I'm sure once more people are signed up there will be more promotional campaigns available!

I am taking part in 2 campaigns... the Knorr one...which we tried tonight and boy was it delicious and this week I got a full size box of Crest Renewal whitening strips ( $50.00 value) and a full size tube of Crest advanced whitening tooth paste ( $3.00 value)

I have to say this has to be the best Freebie I have recieved so far this year... I couldn't believe it was a full size box...enough to do my smile :D twice a day for 10 days!!! yahooo.

Last week there was a Crest Whitestrips campains and this week there is a Hellman's mayo one for Candians. You don't always get emails about the campains so you have to log into your account a few times a day and check if they are in there. I'm doing 4 campains right now.

I am a recent buzz agent as well and I am signed up for 4 campaigns right now (whitestrips, anybody out there, knorr and helmans mayo). The knorr frozen meals can be found at the zehrs/loblaws/fortino (pc stores).

I wonder if there is a maximum amount of campaigns that you can be signed up for at any time?

I didn't submit any reports for the Whitestrip campaign yet, but give it a couple days for your points to appear. It's not automatic that you get points. Your report has to be reviewed first, and then you will be awarded points. They will also leave you a comment on the quality of your report (they'll comment on what you did right, and how you can improve). So, if they are back-logged, it may take a while for them to get to it.

My first report (for the Anybody Out There campaign) took 2 days to process.

I think the campaigns you're offered are based on what you answer in the surveys as well as the info in your profile. I'm not sure about this but it would be a fair guess.

Got my Hellman's campaign kit the other day, woo hoo. I'm surprised really that they send full sized bottles through the mail instead of just mailing out coupons to pick up free ones at a store. You'd think it would be more cost effective for them the other way. They came in a very large box for a freebie!

Signed up for the 20Q as well. Fun for a few minutes then it kind of lost it's appeal. Not sure what you're to gain for signing up for it mind you. It would appear that you don't accumulate any points for signing up or playing and there's no way to report on it so it's a mystery to me. Doesn't seem terribly pointful *shrugs*

For those who're on the whitestrips campaign, anyone using/used them? I'm 4 days into them so far and they seem to be working very well. They're a bit of a pain to use but the results are there.

The whitestrips one has some interesting ones...a Cuisinart Citrus Juicer for 300 points, a small smoothie blender for 400 points, portable DVD player for 1600, 10 piece cookware set for 1500, a lunch bag, picture coaster, a yoga bag, vivid white toothpaste and a few other things.

The Hellman's one has a liptons tea set (several boxes of tea) for 100 points, cleaning products for 180, a marinade set for 100 and several beauty product sets from 45 - 350 points.

You can also use your rewards to donate money to several different charities as well if you wish.

Also, I submitted a report for the Knorr campaign on June 20th and it just got reviewed today...so I'm guessing that they are pretty busy...if they don't award you points soon after you submit a report, don't panic. They'll get to it eventually. :D

Maybe they offer the campaign to people in stages. I was able to sign up for the Knorr Frozen Entree campaign WEEKS ago.

Ok so I just tried mine out and...I Love Them. Ohh it was sooo good, and filling. Now I'm not a small person (6'4", 260 pounds) yet 3/4 of it with a glass of milk tied me over for a lunch.

Now people saying they are small. You have to remember its an entree. Meaning its usually part of a 3 course meal. So if your eating just that alone than yes it isn't filling but if you have it with a salad or something than it makes more sense.

Also the high salt content isn't high at all. If you watch cooking shows they add salt to bring out flavour. So salt gets added a lot to the cooking process. Mine didn't taste salty at all. The sauce kinda tasted like the wine rissotto sauce I make.

I have to say it's worth the free coupon. I would price it at $6.99 though. Yes it has expensive ingredients but the average consumer wouldn't be able to afford it on a regular basis. $8.99 is too high in my opinion. Although to me it did taste like restaurant quality food :).

I enjoyed the entree but I will agree with you Shiznacka, I also find its current price is a bit hefty. The only way I would pick some of these up is if they went on sale. I also like the Stouffers entrees so I might as well pay $3-4 less if I need a quick fix for dinner.

You can write as many BZZ as your hands allow. My last BZZ took 2 weeks to get approved, and I have three more waiting. They are really busy reading all of our bzz, and I do not think they were ready for the RFD effect! :)

I'm a Quebecer and signed up for 1 campaign about 2 weeks after joining. It was the folgers coffee campaign. The thing is you really need to check every day, because they don't always send you emails to tell you they are up, so if you aren't visiting the site regularly and just waiting for emails that may be the problem.

well, I am new to the bzzz program and I am planning to write first report. But looks like they only need you to do BUZZZZ BUZZZ BUZZZ. lol, its about adudio books. I personally like the service as I spend too many hours on public transport per day and it does have a good collection of books. But I don't really know of any one who would be interested in paying $25 for this service, including myself who can really use this service. So how do you guys write report if you have nobody to bUZZzzzzzzzz ?

I joined BzzAgent on or around November 3, 2005. In that time I've only been invited to join one campaign (Knorr Frozen entrees) but have done ever poll or survey they sent out.

The Sonicare is the first BzzBlast I've been accepted to. Either I missed the others (Blasts or Campaigns) or just not the right demographic.

Well, I guess I jumped the gun on that one!! Guess I was too anxious! Canada Post must have dropped off my toothbrush as I was writing this post!! I just checked the mailbox & there it was (must have been delivered by truck since mailman doesn't arrive till late afternoon). No signature was required & it was just sitting in the box so I'm glad I picked it up before some "flyer delivery" guy came by & took it!

It came with 5x$10 rebates but for toothbrush only, not replacement heads and can't use them to get brushes for the rest of the family because it says "Limit one per individual or address" (guess I'll have to send the rebates to different names/addresses) and purchases must be postmared no later than Jan. 31-07. So, if anyone see these toothbrushes on sale anywhere, can you please post here! Wonder if I use my SDM point to buy if I can still submit the rebate? Even though it says "may not be combined with other offers"? Guess I know what I'm buying people for XMAS! Must go charge it up now!

After about 6 brushings with the toothbrush I gotta say it doesn't feel that wierd anymore. My teeth have that polished feeling too like after you've visited the dentist. I can even see my teeth whitening a shade!!! (I'm using whitening toothpate btw).

All in all i would say I'm going to stick with this toothbrush and might even buy one for my folks for xmas since my mom has sensitive gums like myself and it seems to help a wee bit for now at least.

This is the same for me. The first 4-5 times it was weird. but now it's great and It feel so much like the dentist. I've been telling friends and they are all impressed about it.

I got the Hellmans Mayonnaise campaign about a week or two after I signed up.
More campaigns and bzzblasts have come periodically since. It seems to go through spurts of inactivity though.
You will also have a better chance of getting in on campaigns if you visit BzzAgent occasionally(or just come here:cheesygri ) . It seems to happen that by the time people get the "new campaign" invite....its already been filled.
Forums like RFD :) spread the word and they get filled up quickly.

So far I have 100 points and the only "rewards" I can get with that is donations to two charities...

I have gotten the The Anybody Out There one for the book, Knorr Campaign, Hellman's, Folger's, Crest White Strips, Sonic Care. Basically every single one.

There is also a Hispanic Buzz channel I just signed up for that one. Looks like they might have had some good campaigns running on that one.

As for the Buzz 'profile' I think they are really looking for families with at least 2 kids, varied ages, and people in the 30-40 age bracket. If your profile is young single etc. odds are you won't get any campaigns, none of my single friends have gotten any except for the first one for the book. All of us married with kids have gotten every campaign.

This is totally legit. You create a profile so they know if a campaign is suited to your demographic. There is no selling, just word of mouth. For example, I was offered a 'bzzblast', small scale campaign where I only had to answer survey questions about a product after I received it. They sent me a FREE Philips Sonicare electric toothbrush kit with two removeable heads. This thing sells at drugstores for $160 and it's the best toothbrush, seriously! I have three friends who also received it. It's true you don't get campaigns often but when you do you get good stuff, not crap.

I have been a member (buzz agent) for well over a year now. I have had a few campaign offers that I had no interest in. I just signed on for a campaign for SILK the lactose free soy milk. My son and daughter drink soy anyway so why not. After I signed up I got an email saying I would receive coupons to redeem for free product and other coupons to give to friends.

I think it depends on your user profile...I can't rememebr but when I signed up I think I answered a bunch of multiple choice questions about myself and based on that, they determine which campaigns would be suitable for you and invite you to join them.

We always carry chili pepper flakes in a small film canister whenever we travel and now even when we go to restaurants because believe it or not even some of the better italian restaurants don't have chillis!! If you've just signed up with Bzzagent, it probably won't show up on your home page. You might get lucky and get an invite within the next couple of days though.

Keep checking the website. Sometimes it takes a few days for the invite to show up on your page. That's what happened to me with the Sol campaign. Also, I am in tier 1 and still in the Sol campaign and i got an invite for Nature Valley, so it doesn't matter really. Just keep checking the website.

but as i said the secret is to write reports.

I am a Tier 4 Buzzagent and currently have the SOL, Nesquik, Nestea and Nature Valey bars which I received last week. They have nice rewards and a great site so I dont mind bzzing to fellow peeps, especially when its involves drinking booze. :) Some of the rewards I have received is water bottles, books, pins, etc. If you save up 4000 I think you could get a cyberpix digital camera for a while, but its gone now! :) Enjoy fellow bzzagents and keep bzzing!

Bzzagent is for fun and some easy freebies, but if you take it too seriously, that really doesn't worth the time you have wasted. Even with the lowest wage, the return will be much higher than bzzagent.

When you sign up for a new campaign your points drop until you file your first report. When your report is approved your points go back up again.

Just received the Nesquick campaign via Canada Post Truck (** see note below). Full-size bottle plus 20 small sachets -- love that portability!! plus .50 off coupons.

**Postal person rang the bell because they now have new process -- if it doesn't fit in the mailbox (which most BZZ campaigns don't!), they are no longer allowed to leave it on your porch, chair etc. They leave a card & you must p/u at your local PO. Apparently this change is recent because many customers complained to Canada Post that they weren't receiving their packages, they were stolen, etc.

They aren't really "sample sizes", they are regular sized packets just without the actual packaging (sample size usually denotes smaller than usual proportions).

I've only tried the green tea lemon one and I LOVE their Nestea green tea lemon bottled drink but this powdered version is too much with the Splenda taste. I hate that. That's like the flavoured water drinks I once bought and it was all Splenda. Blech. I guess using real sugar defeats the purpose of a "healthy drink" but damnnit, I prefer taste.

Really? That's odd. It's the reverse here. I had a discussion with Canada Post several months ago when they dropped off a package. He told me they were no longer allowed to "leave" parcels -- they had to knock even if no signature is required. He said this was a recent change!

So it's not a toothbrush? it looks like its a toothbrush and some kind of UV cleaner to me. They cant send you a toothbrush cleaner without the toothbrush. Not a whole lot of people use those electric toothbrushes. I have one, but only because I got it for xmas last year.

I really enjoy BzzAgent, as well, and the recent campaigns that I have participated in: Sol beer, Tabasco, Lipton Ice Tea Singles, and the earlier Sonicare toothbrush. Be careful how many credit cards you keep -- whether you use them or not, the "limit" you have on them can impact your credit ratings because the treat it as a liability even if you never use it!!

Capital One does online verification of your identity, and you get an instant online approval notification when you submit your application so you'll know if you are approved for the card. Then all you have to do is wait until the card arrives. I signed up for both campaign and card, and transferred over some of my Christmas shopping balance.

You are way, way off. Yes, they have a couple of mail products that may have fees, but this one (like most of their cards for people with good credit) has none whatsoever.

It's only BzzAgents who will get the $75 statement credit when they sign up and get approved for the card. Their referrals will not receive the $75 credit. However, they will still get the other things, like no annual fee and the prime +0.9% interest rate for purchases and balance transfers.

If you have a good credit rating, you can put anything down - that's how I got my first credit card, told them I was self employed earning 30K a year, even though that number was much smaller.

DITTO!! We too have the highest credit rating and, after having had financial fraud commited against us which starting turning into identity theft, we are very concsious of how many & which credit cards we keep active!

I got that email today too. I emailed them back telling them I hadn't received my kit yet. Hopefully this means they've sent them out and expect we should be receiving them any day now. And at least now we know what we're getting since it didn't tell us when we signed up for it.

i've requested a free credit report from them once and it did give some information about who took a peep into your credit history (usually banks that you applied for credit cards to). did you get a paid/free report from equifax this time? just wondering what extras would i get if i had opted to pay...

If you opt for the full report that you pay for it will also include your beacon score. Lenders may use this as one tool to measure risk.

Weird that my iPod didn't have any duty or brokerage charges, but your rice cooker does. For $20 I'd be leaning towards refusing delivery! I'd try the 800 number -- it can't hurt to ask.

I kept emailing them and they would say its on the way... and then when I receive a reminder that the deadline is coming up they say they don't know what happened but I can still submit info on what I thought about it if I had used the product.....

I WAS at Tier 2, but I joined the Oreo Casesters, and my Participation Score and Quality score suddenly dropped bringing me back down to Tier 1. Has this happened to anyone, and if so do you know why? Does this affect my promotion to Tier 3?

I've emailed Jono many times but hardly get a response, they aren't good at responding.

Your scores always drop when you first join a new campaign. They'll go back up again as your bzz reports start getting approved. I've noticed the same thing and I've seen other people mention it on the bee log and unofficial bzz too so I'm assuming it happens to everyone.

The $75 credit is credited to your account within 3 billing cycles.

I hope so, free beer. I really don't like the Crest Strips much - would never pay $50, they are too messy and only cover part of the teeth for an extra hundred or so, can do a professional job at the dentist :) just my opinion.

I agree - I used the strips for a couple of days and the strips don't stay on and they slide all over the place.

I did read some online reviews, and you're not the only one who says that. I find the gels sticks to the teeth, they slip and slide, and all honestly, I would never recommend them to anyone due to performance and price.

Me neither! Hope to get it soon. I've been using the classic crest white stripes and it takes 1/2 hr... and the result has been very good. I would like to try the daily ones to see if it makes a difference.
