Great Rewards Coming Soon
The old rewards system is gone for good (and for better). Don't worry if you didn't get to use your BzzPoints before now. Starting soon, you'll be able to fully enjoy all of your points.
Our new and improved rewards system is on the way. Be on the lookout for more details around the site!

Every day I look on the website and check to see if I have a campaign or if there are any new polls for me to fill out. Every day there is nothing new and everytime I look my rating is going lower and lower. a few days ago I was at participation 77, and now I'm at 54. My Quality was 11 and now it's 9.
How are we supposed to keep our score up if they dont send us anything.
I guess I'll have to fill out alot of those frog pond site reviews. sheesh.

With all Bzz campaigns, they will send you a Bzz kit so you either get the product in the mail to try, or you will receive a coupon to redeem for a free product to try. There are usually coupons to share with others (not for free product, but savings off the cost), and a reference booklet telling you about the campaign and product. The goal is to submit at least 3 Bzz reports per campaign. Good luck!

They will send you a package in the mail. Typically it contains either a sample or coupons for a free sample, along with some info about the product. I've already received the Cakesters package and it contained a box of Cakesters along with a coupon for another free box. The package usually arrives in a couple of weeks after signing up.

They have an updated rewards page(no rewards yet).I can't wait to spend some points!
The old rewards system is on its way out, though you can still earn BzzPoints for a bit longer. And with our new and improved rewards system on the way, soon you'll get to fully enjoy all of your points.
Until then, each week we'll answer at least one Agent question about the transition period (called Shaloha) and the wondrous future beyond. Here's the latest:
During Shaloha, all Agents will have ample time to convert their points to great rewards. That transition will let us move forward with our upcoming new rewards system, where you won't need BzzPoints.
Yes, Agents with as few as 40 BzzPoints will be able to claim a reward during Shaloha!
We're also revising and simplifying our tiering system. Your past accomplishments will factor in, and the only way you'll slide down a level will be if you actively try to not try at all.

My 3rd statement is out too with no signs of the $75 credit. I have sent another email to them as they asked me earlier to contact Capital one after 3rd statement. I spoke to Capital One and they are saying to talk to bzz people for $25 credit. I told them it was supposed to be $75 and not $25. Regardless of amount there is no credit on any of my 3 statements. I have been using my card actively so I am not sure why they are having such a hard time in keeping their promise. Credit cards sign up in general come up with some promo.

Just got an invite for Beech-Nut Good Morning Good Evening baby food:
A baby needs different nutrition for day and night.
Greetings BzzAgent abstract77,
A lot of people don't realize it but babies really do have completely different needs depending on the time of day. Luckily, GOOD MORNING GOOD EVENING baby foods from Beech-Nut make sure babies get exactly the nutrition their growing little bodies need, when they need it.
GOOD MORNING:
All the energy babies need to develop their physical coordination as well as attention span, concentration, word recall and memory so they can learn.
GOOD EVENING:
Formulated for nighttime when babies need a peaceful rest to do most of their growing, usually tripling their weight by one year of age.

I got invite too and also have no kids in that age group! Weird isn't it? You'd think they'd use the survey's to refine who to invite? Makes one wonder what criteria have been used for the other campaigns - ie HOW they decide WHO to invite.
Initially I was just going to ignore -- is there an "official" way to decline?

Check your inbox later today, and then mark May 22nd and June 9th on your calendars – because Shaloha is just about to get started!
Beginning late morning, we are going to email all of our North American Agents to alert you to the exciting changes slated to begin on Thursday. Here’s a Cliff’s Notes (not that I ever used those books in high school … honest Mr. Richards!) version:
Shaloha begins on May 22nd and lasts for 18 days. When you log-in between May 22nd and June 9th, you will be presented with three options for your points:
1. You can transition them to a place where you can access a (nearly) limitless supply of stuff;
2. You can cash-in 200 points for a Golden Key (limited number available) and transition the rest to the place with the (nearly) limitless supply of stuff;
3. You can tell us to let your points expire because you don’t want them anymore. (We really don’t expect many of you will pick this option!)
You have to tell us what to do with your points before Shaloha ends on June 9th or all of your points go away – because on June 9th the new BzzPerks system begins. As we approach that date, I’ll write up another Cliff’s Notes version of that exciting new system!

My Points used to have giftcertificates.ca as a reward merchant, they have tons of Canadian gift cards. If I recall correctly, $25 was about 3200 points. Unfortunately it looks like they're gone now.
I redeemed a while back for a $25 Home Depot card and it arrived in US funds...had no troubles using it in the GTA.

You dont pay any shipping or handling as long as you redeem the full value of your giftpass.
From Mypoints:
# GIFTPASS can only be sent to Canadian addresses.
# Each $25 GIFTPASS must be redeemed separately at Giftcertificates.ca
# When you redeem your GIFTPASS for the gift certificate(s) of your choice, the shipping and handling charge is FREE as long as you redeem for the full value of the GIFTPASS. You will ONLY be charged for shipping and handling, payable only by credit card, on subsequent redemptions if you do not use the full value of your GIFTPASS on your FIRST redemption.
# You will receive your GIFTPASS e-Certificate code immediately from MyPoints.
I have ordered these gift passes a few times and have never paid any fees.

I just ordered one today without shipping charges but they gave me option of splitting up the $25 into multiple cards starting at $10 value....So, I think that shipping only applies if you redeem a partial amount at giftcertificates instead of the entire $25.
Hope that makes sense!

I got it too.. didnt receive an email tho. Signed up just for the hell of it. I'm afraid if I turn one down I wont get anymore.
Under my status theres a spot that shows how to advance, one says:
Frogpond Polls
Contribute 3 more (3 total) opinions and poll responses this month
What does that mean? I've entered one of the frogponds and gave a comment. It still says I need to contribute 3 more. It hasnt changed. Is there something else I'm supposed to do?

in each frog, you can enter a comment, then enter a poll. its the latter that matters for "honeycombs" i.e. brownie points for advancing your position. try going back to a frog in which you have entered a comment, and you should be able to find the poll (that you have not entered).

Is this the same book they were advertising on the old Bzz blog or was it Beelog for $10 US and $12 Canadians that was autographed before it came out??
Too bad I missed out on that as they had said they were taking orders but not billing credit cards till it came out.

I emailed MyPoints to ask if any of the available gc's could be redeemed in Canada or if it was necessary to order a gift pass from Giftcertificates.ca (especially since there's a bit of a difference in points in some cases). Here was their response:
MyPoints provides full support to our members living in the United States. Unfortunately, many of our services are not yet available in Canada. To better support our Canadian members, like you, we're working to improve both the MyPoints site and overall program.

You live in Quebec and French is your first language and you didn't get the campaign? Does BzzAgent know anything about Canada? Over on the Unofficial site a few Americans were talking about how they got emails asking them to refer French speaking Canadians to BzzAgent for a chance to win an ipod and here they already have agents who meet that criteria who don't have the campaign? What level are you -- I guess you could still get it tomorrow... There's no kit for the campaign anyway so anyone who doesn't get it isn't missing out on that.

I got an email for the Hello campaign. I went on the site right away and the only invites I had were for the WOM campaign. I just looked at it to get more info, did not click on the accept button and I got signed up. I sent an email that it was in error as I wasn't interested but so far nothing. Then I got an email to sign up for the Science Diet campaign. I signed up and now today I get an email saying that was in error as there were geographic limitations on the campaign. What gives? We're sorry!
We inadvertently emailed you last week to announce the launch of the Science Diet® Nature's Best® BzzCampaign. In this email, we specifically stated that you were qualified to join the program upon its launch. This, however, was not the case. There were geographic limitations on the program we forgot to apply when sending the email. We are very sorry for this mistake.
However, we're going to offer you priority to join these upcoming, exciting campaigns:
ZAPiT Game Wave Family Entertainment System: An interactive never-wait-for-a-turn family gaming system
Nabob Coffee: A delicious, rich coffee that's also environmentally, socially and economically responsible
We hope you'll be interested in participating in future programs with us. If you have any questions at all, please do not hesitate to get in touch with us. We're more than happy to address any questions or concerns you have.

That's hilarious! Most of the reviews I found think the system is really cheesy and the people who do like it tended to be into board games, not video games. The people who bought it as a replacement for board games seemed to really like it and the ones who were gamers weren't impressed. I'm glad I saved the $50 and declined the campaign.

How many My Points points can one get for submitting bzz reports? Is it different for every campaign or is there a standard max amount awarded for each report?
I've been looking around the site and can't find specific mention of how many My Points points a bzz report is worth. I see where you can complain about not getting enough points but nowhere do I see how many points are possible so how would you know if you didn't get the max?

OMG i am so annoyed. I just got off the phone with Capital One, and they say that they have NEVER HEARD of the Bzzagent campaign, therefore they are not giving me $75 credit. they said they don't have any record of anything even remotely related. I even gave them the original link to the website (www.capitalone.ca/bzz) and they said they have no idea what i'm talking about (even though the link is still alive!). It is sooooo frustrating as that is the only reason i signed up - and i sounded like an idiot saying "i'm a bzz agent"... they said "what's that??".
Did no one else have this problem? Am i the only one? Does anyone have tips / advice for me???
Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

To be honest I think bzzagent is absolute crap now. If your given 50 points for a good report it will take over 28 reports to get one lousy 10$ GC. They dont have many campaigns anymore either. WHAT CRAP. I could do a survey for $1 a peice and get more rewards on other sites. Oh, what happened to the fun bzzagent site i use to go to. Fire whoever made you guys switch to mypoints. I loved getting the bamboo cutting boards, usb drives etc as rewards, not this crap mypoints

edit: just got reply:
Thanks for your email. Yes, you received it as a Golden Key invitation because you don't qualify for it under normal circumstances. That's what Golden Keys are used for; to get in to campaigns you aren't qualified to participate in. The BzzKit will include:
magnetic shopping pad
key chain
Recipe card with seasonings
Cholesterol/Nutrition brochure for pass-along
Recipe booklets for pass-along
So while you are in Quebec you could still certainly participate in this campaign even though it's for Egg Farmers of Ontario!
I guess I wont waste a gold key on that then.

This happened to me too but it's because I signed up with my account first, then tried to sign up with my wife's account but my account was still logged in. I just logged out and then hit the link in my wife's email and it worked. Try and see if that is the problem.
I'm now part of 3 campaigns, the most I've ever had running at a time.

Hey guys I signed up for BzzAgent just recently and waited for a campaign to show up (not interested in wasting time collecting Mypoints). So finally I get this Silk campaign and sign up. I received the kit, but it turns out you have to (1) talk to people about it and (2) write a whole report on it. When I signed up I thought they wanted to know what <<< I >>> think about their product. I wouldn't mind writing a review from my point of view. But to me going around bothering people with Bull**** sales pitches about some products just to get a freebie?? Pleaseeee............. I think I'll just redeem the soymilk coupons and leave it at that!

If you don't like a product, you can tell people you know you didn't like it and then write a report on it. Someone you talk to might have a different thought.. for instance say you didn't like the Soy Milk.. talk to a friend and say they sent me this Soy milk and I didn't like it at all. They might agree with you, they might say oh I really liked it. Generally if I like or dislike something I'm going to say something to my friends. They want honest opinions on things. Thus in your report that you buzzed you could say that you talked to your friend Sally about how you really disliked the Soy Milk and that she said she loved it so you gave her the rest of your Soy Milk and a coupon for it.. or Sally said she didn't like it either. I'll talk to my Mom or Mother-In-Law or siblings or friends or even my Husband about it. The coffee one no one really overly liked it that tried it. They are not going to fault you for not liking it and it gives them some sort of feedback. I'm quite enjoying all of it.

The reports don't have to be really long, the Soy milk is quite good so I said I really like it,if you fill out the reports, they will offer you more free things to test, it take a few minutes to fill the report in and then it's done,I have done at least 7 campaigns and the stuff is great.I liked the free cans of coffee we just got and the milk is also a good one, sonic toothbrush and cleaner was the best the list goes on.

i don't think it's too much to ask if they are sending you a free product. i find myself talking about the products REGARDLESS of how i feel about them, since i am getting them for FREE. and then i have coupons to give out so that makes me talk about the product too. they don't ask us to LIE, they just ask us to report back on what we've said to people. you don't need to brag up the product, just be honest, say you're trying it for free, share it with a friend, then write a report about it (they don't even need to be long!). it's an easy process by my standards...

Just give your honest opinion, I had nothing positive to say about the Crest Strips, but say if you serve ie - eggs for a family dinner, write that down too, every bit helps and always click - everyone knows I'm a Buzzagent - that way you can fill in more reports to get points - I hate their new system seriously!

Hi there,
I was wondering what the demographics were of those that are getting the Lancome and Fruits and Passions campaigns. I'm in Alberta and thought maybe it was a regional thing?

Got my Bzzkit for the Fruits & Passion campaign yesterday, as well. The bottle of Cucina hand wash is great although the cap was unscrewed, and some of the product had leaked. Gave me a reason to immediately try out the product, and it does leave a lovely scent.
I'm looking forward to using the $25 gift card, and sharing the other $10 cards with friends and colleagues. It will certainly help to generate Bzz. I hope there won't be a problem redeeming the gift cards at the store. The closest one to me is at Eaton Centre.

Alright just came back from fruits and passions. Apparently you could only use ONE card at a time, and so I couldn't buy $75 worth of things all at once. And your name and number will be registered into their computer. They actually have the name of the bzzagent on their computer!
So they're forcing you to hand out the other cards to your friends and family.
Plus on top of that, you don't get the 20% discount, so you pay full price.
I picked up a gift set of hand cream and 1 lip gloss with my $25.

I signed up for the Game Wave in a past promotion. It's not a bad system if you like playing board games. The system and games are ok, there's nothing wrong with them. It is similar to playing Scene It or DVD Trivial Persuit. It's nothing like an XBOX or a Playstation 3, but if you like playing board games or interactive DVD games, I think it's worth the $50.

I got the invite too. This is the second time that I turned it down for the same reason that I am not paying $50 US for a game that has mediocre reviews. Of course with the dollar, it is an even worse offer than the last time. If they want people to buzz things, they should give them out free.

Ohhh I hate the customer service at STC!! I went back to Markville and asked them if I could get the 20% back, and they called the STC store, and she said the cashiers there are standing their ground, they're not allowing 2 promotions at the same time. So I said, this isn't a promotion! this is a $25 gift card, I'm using to spend on your products and write a report about.
Anyway, the Markville lady was really nice, she said she hates the ppl at STC too! Apparently one of the items I bought from STC, they don't sell it at Markville because STC separated a package of 3 lip gloss to sell them separatedly at a higher price, and this is not allowed!
Haha she said she doesn't like STC store branch either!
Go the extra mile if possible and go to Markville...STC F&P is a piece of crap!
Oh and they gave my mom the 20% off for using the $10 gift card. :)
I already complained to F&P about the STC store branch...haha you're not the only one!

The 20% off extend to Sat. I am able to use multiple coupon and 20% off today at Vaughan Mill. However, the coupon apply after tax this time.
Yesterday I cannot stack all the GC, can only use 1 at a time per purchase. However, the GC applied before tax. So I am able to get the $32 gift pack at

So anyone have experience with the $10 GCs? I want to give some out but I want to let my friends know what to expect when handing over the thing.
When I used my $25 GC, as expectedly (since the $25 GC is for the Bzz Agent) I was asked for my name and number. But if I gave a $10 GC to a friend and they use it, do they ask for MY name and phone number? Or THEIRS?
I was reading some of the thread here and it hints at using the Bzz Agent's details but I want to make sure. I should've asked when I was there but ack, I forgot.

Was at the Pickering Town Centre store. The clerk advised that all stores have now received emails indicating that only one gift card per purchase. Plus, they take your name and number down.

probably not, because the point of the gift cards are to try the products right away and bzz and share. and they're being so strict on these cards, so best to find some friends to give them out to.

I got my second Nabob campaign and accepted it a couple days ago...now I just received an email saying they made a mistake and want to give it to other agents who havne't had the campaign yet...oh well.
"We know that you'd be great for a NABOB Coffee BzzCampaign, which is why we invited you to the previous one.
Unfortunately, we accidentally invited you to this one too. Since this is an identical program to the NABOB Coffee campaign you previously joined, we need to remove you in order to make room for other Agents so they can Bzz about the coffee just like you did.
However, we appreciate your enthusiasm for NABOB Coffee and want to make amends for our error, so we're going to give you priority access to an upcoming campaign in the new year."

So I had emailed head office the night after the 20% off sale as I was disappointed that others got to apply the 20% off and use the gc.
They finally just got back to me today and told me that I would have to drive out 30 - 40 minutes to another location if I wanted to get 20% on any additional products (Since they didn't allow me the 1st time) I asked her if I could go to the location right across from my apartment (literally 1 minute away!!) and she said no that I would have to go to Vaughan Mills or the other location (I can't remember what it's called - It's on Sheppard Ave in Tdot) I'm still a little disappointed and I don't know if I would make the trek to VM as I NEVER go there and to travel 30 - 40 minutes away for 20% discount seems a little much.
Ughh I have until the 12th before my 20% expires :s

new campaign: BzzAgent Holiday Swap?
Winegums
Dec 9th, 2008, 03:44 PM
new campaign: BzzAgent Holiday Swap?
Not the usual type of campaign!
How does it work?
You commit to spending $10 on a gift (nothing sexual, political or religious)
Within 48 hours we pair you with a swap partner of the same gender, in the same country
We send you the email address of your swap partner so you can exchange shipping addresses
You mail your partner's gift before 12/20/08, and your partner does the same
You can even upload a picture of the gift you receive via our Flickr group
The fine print:
BzzAgent only acts as the facilitator between swap partners
BzzAgent does not take responsibility for the gift your swap partner provides to you
If you sign up, please don't stiff your partner

in these bad economic times, companies either:
(1) substitute away from (expensive) conventional marketing and seek alternatives such as bzz, or
(2) find it all too costly and do away with marketing altogether.
seems like effect (2) is dominating...

I participated in a forum swap several years ago & it worked fabulously! I received a great parcel of goodies (almost everything I "wished" for in our email exchanges!) but also sent out a great parcel too! It wasn't "reciprocable" - you & the other person didn't exchange gifts. Each of us was assigned another member! And, there were stringent rules & deadlines - that's probably why it worked so well. My only complaint was that my assigned "giftee" lived in New Brunswick - shipping cost almost as much as the gift! But then, my giftor lived in BC so she had the same problem! I don't know why they assigned people so far apart but it was great fun finding out what the other wanted then looking for just the right gift(s). Of course all the participants posted what they received on the forum afterwards. Just to show that it CAN work depending on who the players are!

Well tbh, I really dont like bzzagent since they have changed their reward system. I'm ready to give up on them now. Seems like way to much work to get a lousy 10 GC. I guess it really helped them in saving money. I bet the quality and quantity of reports is way down. Not as many campaigns as like before they restructured the reward system either.

I honestly agree, and I'm not even getting the points into my account - Buzz said to contact MyPoints - and they have yet to respond, so I gave up accepting the points - and most of the GC are for US companies! I preferred choosing our own rewards from Buzz's personal list

I agree it was very rushed. My swap partner and I exchanged a lot of e-mails (well - she initiated it, and seemed really cheery and excited) - so I go ahead and xpresspost my gift because it was the deadline, and didn't get a thing in return...I even e-mailed her to ask if she received it, and she wrote back, yes, it's great! I e-mailed her again when she sent mine...and no reply ever again. She even got rid of her gmail account so everything I sent her bounced back to me.
Well - I hope there's karma...but in light of Christmas spirit and what not - I'm glad she got some happiness out of her gift.

There is usually a booklet with each bzz campaign. This one is smaller and actually uses less paper as there is no front or back cover.

I got mine late last week. I tried the Tropical fruit one and found it MUCH too sweet!
As a side note, Highland Farms in Mississauga has these on sale for $2.99. So. if you used your $1.25 coupon, it takes the price down to under $2.00. Hmmmm....wonder if anyone will have it on sale for $1.99 before then end April??

I don't understand why you would complain either?? You don't like it but maybe your friends would. Also if you don't like it for a certain reason (ie: ingredients) you could buzz about it. I would not expect you to get priority for the next campaign. Are you new to bzzagent? What did you complain about?
Cheap Cat
Mar 23rd, 2009, 10:33 AM
I've actually wondered about complaining or more accurately giving feedback about products. I have had a few things that I didn't like and it is hard to buzz about something you don't like but I would like to provide product feedback.

And they won't give you priority. They probably flagged your account and will put you at the end of the list because you aren't following the bzz rules. If you didn't like it just write a report about how bad it tasted or something. I did that and Jono laughed at my description of it. I still got points and stuff. I wouldn't email them and say it was crap just to get priority over another campaign. I wouldn't be surprised if you didn't get a campaign for awhile.

I've been browsing that website (just registerd tonight) for the last hour and just want to check with 'real people' to make sure that I've done this correctly.
I registered and completed all of the "my surveys" under my profile - about my interests, shopping habits, etc.
Is that it for now... and I will receive an Email when there is a campaign (or whatever) that I am eligable to participate in? I'd like to start receiving products and coupons so that I can review them and spread the word... so I want to make sure that I've done all that I can for now and that my next step is to just sit tight and wait.

I agree. The old BzzAgent site was better, and more intuitive to navigate. I don't like the new site that they launched about a month ago.
Campaigns seem to be randomly issued to folks, as some people have no toddlers or babies yet they were invited to the Beech Nut baby food campaign. It's supposed to be based on your demographics, which you provided during sign-up and subsequent surveys. Who knows.

They sent me invites twice for that piece 'o crap. Are they still asking you to pay $50 for it?
Pixie
Apr 9th, 2009, 09:43 AM
Be careful about that Gamewave campaign. The reviews on the system are a bit mixed, but more importantly I know a bunch of American agents who paid the $50 or whatever it was for the campaign the last time they ran it only to discover that Big Lots was selling the same system for $30 at the same time as the campaign was being run. So agents not only were expected to do the reports, they also paid $20 more than nonagents for the crappy thing.
Pixie
Apr 9th, 2009, 09:54 AM
I stand corrected -- the original price for the gamewave at Big Lots was $30 then it went on sale for $15. I've never seen the system for sale in Canada so I couldn't tell you the price here.

I got asked for it twice as well and both times I said no. The whole point of being a BzzAgent to me is to try out products for FREE. I don't plan on spending any money for any products. I am currently on the Amp Energy Drink campaign. Was pretty good since they sent me a case of them.

I just signed up recently and was wondering how long it takes for the Frogpond points to show up. I completed 3 website reviews (I assume that is what they mean by 'polls'), but have not been awarded a honeycomb.
In the status tracker it's still telling me that I have to complete 3 more Frogpond polls for this month in order to get a honeycomb.

there's three steps to completing each frogpond thing - 1) you visit the website 2) you post a review 3) you complete the poll
did you do all 3 things?

Yes, I think so. I find the site a bit confusing.
I visited 3 Frogpond websites, wrote reviews for all 3, and the reviews are listed under my Frogpond profile in the Reviews section, so they have been recorded. After the review they asked a few questions like "would recommend this site to your friends?" And I answered all the questions. I am assuming that was the poll.
Currently I have 3 sites listed under "Frogpond Statistics", but no honeycomb.

There is a poll after the review, and the review and poll are similar.
Kind of dumb, but I made the same mistake the first time. Go back to the frogpond and there'll be a new optin, 'poll' under the revew or whatever it is.

Thank you! I went back and two of the sites I completed reviews for did not have accompanying Frogpond polls, so I wasted my time filling those out in the first place. I reviewed 2 more sites and then got the honeycomb.

How long does it take for a honeycomb to show up?
I've submitted a website and I reviewed 4 websites. For each of the websites I reviewed I went back in and completed the poll... however I still have the solitary bee status.

The honeycomb showed up right after I finished the 3rd survey/poll/review. You need 2 to move up in status though, I'm still at Solitary Bee, but I've been awarded 1 honeycomb. If you go to the My Status page, in the Status Tracker section, on the left it says "Earn Honeycombs" and at the bottom there's a link for "complete honeycomb history" that will tell you if you've gotten your honeycomb from the Frogpond.

yes, not all of the sites have polls and I didn't realize it until I had already filled out two non-poll reviews, which did not count towards the 3 per month.
The sites that are labeled "agent submitted" don't seem to have polls.

Theyre mostly US stores, and my Buzz points werent even going into my account - so I closed the MyPoints - I figure - I really don't shop at any of their US stores - That's Buzz for you, just like the Capitol One card campaign that I didn't receive the $75 for signing up -

On MyPoints: I know some people mentioned about the US giftcards being valid in Canada, but I've always just redeemed the giftcertificates.ca $25, which requires 3750 points (I think?). If you do nothing but bzzreports, that's 75 reports just to get a $25 giftcard...

I've been with MyPoints for years, never shopped through them, only collected points by clicking on their emails (though I did win 500 pts once in one of their games) and I cash in for the Home Depot gift cards. They are issued in US dollars and are converted to Canadian dollars when you use them in the store. I remember the first one I got the exchange rate was really high and the $50 US card swiped through at something like 60 Canadian dollars.
When I joined bzz agent, my first campaign had a reward that I wanted and of course I couldn't get enough bzz points off that campaign to cash in for the reward, the next campaigns I got all had sucky rewards that I had no interest in and then they switched to MyPoints without me ever having cashed in for a bzz reward. It didn't hurt my feelings though as I'm happy to get US home depot cards and profit more on the exchange rates.
As another poster noted, you can always cash in for the giftcertificates.ca stuff.
It's long and slow to reap rewards if you don't shop through the site, but rewards are there for the patient.

I've been a member of Mypoints since 2002. I originally signed up for reading emails and receiving points that way. Was I asleep for some posts? How do you all know about Bzz Agent layoffs?
It was somewhere on their site that Jono was talking about it and how it was hard for them to do etc etc. Was it in their blog, or video posts, twitter, can't remember exactly but he was talking about the situation a little back. Now that you say that I find it odd they would put that information out there.
Anyways, I really only liked the site when I could redeem for all these little kewl gifts that would come in the mail. The bamboo cutting boards, mini frying pans, cooking utensils, multimedia connectors etc. Ever since this mypoints stuff I really don't like it. I remember the bamboo cutting boards being like 300 points or less and it's value I would say would have been about 8$ or so. That would have taken 6 reports or so. Now for a 10$ gc it takes about 26 reports or so. Guess it was fun while it lasted.
I'd rather spend my time doing contests or looking for new freebies on other sites.
It's just my opinion, and if it works for you, all the power to you. I'm sure though others will or have already got tired of the mypoints reward scheme.

I emailed about the 2x yogurt nibbles and 0 veggie, response was that they didn't get enough veggie nibbles so doubled up on the yogurt.
Things seem a bit weird over there; I submitted two bzz reports, both responses made zero reference to what I wrote, both made jokes about TV shows (Murder She Wrote and Price is Right respectively). Very strange. I even asked a very specific question in one of my reports and it was completely ignored. Granted, I haven't submitted a report in a while, but I recall they always used to make direct comments on what I reported so I know someone was actually reading them.

did you do all 3 parts when you did a frogpond? 1) visit website 2) post a remark 3) complete poll
you need to do 3 frogponds in each month - so once it's May, do 3 more, and your status should change

So most of the GC available from MyPoints are redeemable in Canadian stores? For which stores have you used the GC successfully? I don't want to order some and find out they're useless here.
thanks
i think earlier in this thread someone mentioned giftcertificates.ca and starbucks are valid in Canada. But I haven't tried redeeming yet, still need to accumulate more points.

I've redeemed several times. Giftcertificates.ca is the best option because there's many gift cards to choose from all for Canadian stores. I've also redeemed for Blockbuster and used it here (can't remember which funds the gc was) and also Home Depot. That was a good card because it was US funds and accepted at Canadian stores.
Here's the selection of gift cards from giftcertificates.ca:
Canadian Tire
Home Hardware
Home Sense
Pottery Barn
Pottery Barn Kids
Casey's
Earls Restaurants
East Side Mario's

I thought Olive Garden pulled out of Canada about 10 years ago? And I've never heard of a Pottery Barn here before. Sorry, but I still hate the new rewards system. There's only so many Canadian Tire gift cards I can regift and everything else in that list is a good hour away from where I live. In all honesty I used to bzz and report a lot more than I do now. Now I just do my 2 reports/campaign and tell them to stick their points in the hopes that something better will come along when BzzAgent's contract with My Points expires.

Yes, I've ordered them twice now from My points, and there was the exchange for mine. Used the both in Can.

Just got back from Shopper's Drug Mart and they carry the Sun-damage line - the Bzz kit says the suggested retail price is $18.99 for the stuff, of course Shopper's has gone one better and is charging $19.99.
The good news is that Shopper's has the entire line with the exception of the eye cream on sale this week for $15.99! Use your coupons before the 29th!!

The Bio-K+ CL1285 Bzzkit arrived here today (Windsor, ON). It was shipped out yesterday.
The kit includes:
1 - Bio-K+ CL1285 Official BzzGuide
1 - Campaign welcome letter from Jono
1 - 5-pack of Bio-K+CL1285 capsules
1 - Coupon for free 6-pack of Bio-K+CL1285 fresh product
8 - $5-off coupons for 6-pack of Bio-K+CL1285 fresh product.
I took one capsule today. I think it may be a little more difficult to Bzz this one since there's not much product to share with people and it'll be a little more difficult mixing it up into general conversation. I guess it'll work with close family and friends, however.

Holy crap! I had no idea it would be that expensive.
I think I saw somewhere on that Bio+ site that SDM and some other grocery stores were starting to sell their products as well, but I couldn't find that page when I went back to look, and I don't remember which products they were referring to.

Even people in the US are saying that they aren't getting any campaigns and they've always had more than us! Apparently there's even been an invitation for some of them for an Aveeno campaign that's never materialized. I think they're pouring too many resources into their BzzScrapes spamming and not enough into getting campaigns or a decent rewards system.

Same here. I was wondering what happened because I have been receiving regular campaigns since I first joined. I haven't cared for the last couple of products so I didn't bother to do the buzz reports so I thought may be they were purposely not sending me things. I guess I am not the only one. Perhaps this is just a sign of the current downturn.
