Is it possible to pre-configure the computer to restart into safe mode or MS- DOS prompt BEFORE you restart the computer? I have a USB keyboard, which will only work once Windows has booted up, so I cannot press F8 before Windows starts up. Is there a way to do this? I don't have access to a PS/2 keyboard. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Oh *****, I just realized that even if I could boot into DOS prompt I wouldn't be able to do anything without a keyboard. Well, any ideas for safe mode at least? Pleeeeaassee...

most bios will have option to let you use usb keyboards in DOS. see your BIOS for the USB setting. Usually values will be either legacy mode, or USB control by BIOS/OS (BIOS is what you want).

Unfortunately I can't enter the BIOS to change anything because I can't press Delete.
