I'm just doing some major system upgrades and it's time for a new case.

I currently own a an antec sonata.

I'm looking for something with a little more room, is quite and looks good.
My next system I want to do some over clocking.

My next system is going to be:

DFI LANParty UT NF4 ULTRA-D
3000+ AMD 64 VENICE
x800 GTO2 (over clocked to x850 xt pt)
72GB Raptor
300gb Maxtor
ram 512 x 2 samsung?? (should I got ddr2?)

Any suggestions?

The price of the case + power supply seems high. I was looking at it.

you can't use ddr2 with that mobo....and if you are not going to overclock/don't know how to, get something other than a dfi

I thought the DFI was the best for overclocking. I have some experience with OC'ing I can up the bus and the multiplier. I'm don't know much about ram oc'ing yet.

should I buy another mobo?

Looks like you are an OC'er from the system you are building.

P180 + XP-120 = amazing combo for OC'in on air.

Here is my OC results w/ my P180 + XP-120 + 1 quiet intake fan I had to add.
Athlon 3500+ Newcastle @ 2750Mhz @ 1.65V and yes im am running all the fans in the case on low speed. The fans that come w/ the case, once set to low speed are quieter than stock nexus fans.

what's you power supply? what's xp=120? I'm trying to keep this system cheap.

I'm will be using an antec 7000cpns cpu fan.

I use a Enermax Noisetaker EG495P-VE 485W powersupply.

The ThermalRight XP-120 is a heatsink for the CPU.

1)510 PCP&C - best PSU ever (overkill for you)
2)OCZ Powerstream 520W
3)Enermax 485W (24 Pin)

The rankings are based on the research I did for myself when I put my computer together around 3/4 ago.

P180 is pretty expensive so I am not sure what to recommend for a case.

Can't go wrong with Sonata II, only major diff from the first version is the intake system. I'm happy with mine.

Can't go wrong with Sonata II.He mentioned a desire for a case with more room. And going from his Sonata to a SonataII is hardly worth the upgrade! ;)

In black where? What power supply do you recommend?I don't know which vendors stock the black one, but it does exist. Click here (http://www.endpcnoise.com/cgi-bin/e/p180.html) for pics. Find a vendor that carries the P180 and ask if they can get one in black for you.

As for the psu, there has been countless threads about this, and the best PSU to get is undisputedly the Seasonic S-12 line of PSU's. Only problem is that it's hard to find and those who do are often out of stock. But if you can get your hands on one, do it! A good second alternative is the Enermax Noisetaker line and it's only a notch louder and can be found at any local vendor.

what's xp=120?Thermalright's XP120 heatsink is one of the market's best cpu coolers. Here's a review from SPCR:

Another one worth mentioning is the XP90c also from Thermalright which is slightly better than the xp-120, and there's also the Thermaltake Big Typhoon which imo is better for higher end cpu's.

Second thought on the situation:

Will my current Sonata run my system?

I have a CPNS7000 Zalman CPU.

Second thought on the situation:

Will my current Sonata run my system?

I have a CPNS7000 Zalman CPU.I think you're trying to ask if that Zalman will fit into your sonata? Yes it will. For one, it is compatible with the DFI mobo you are planning to buy according to this list (http://www.zalman.co.kr/product/cooler/7000(AB)_754-939-940MBlist_eng.htm). And as you know, the top of the motherboard is lined up with the bottom of the psu in the Sonata, making no room for large heatsinks that would overlap the mobo like this zalman 7700 here (http://www.silentpcreview.com/files/images/z7700/hstestplatform.jpg) . That 7700 simply would not fit into the Sonata. Fortunately the Zalman 7000 that you have is a smaller cooler and will stay within the perimeter of the motherboard as depicted in this pic (http://www.silentpcreview.com/files/images/hsf-z7000/z70004.jpg).
