Problem:
I have a folder filled with pdf files I'd like to print out as a hard copy (to use as a checklist/inventory)... I don't want the contents of the files printed, just the directory itself listing all the files inside. Is there a way to do it so it looks somewhat neat and tidy? Both PrintScreen and using the command prompt to copy and paste look horrible.
Thanks.

shall we assume that you're on windows?
Just pipe the output into a text file (>) and print it in any text editor.

Click 'Start", 'Run'. Type 'cmd' (without the quotes) and then click 'OK'
Navigate to the folder where the mp3 files are located. If they are in "C:\Documents and Settings\Dan\My Documents\My Music" you would type (with the quotes): cd "C:\Documents and Settings\Dan\My Documents\My Music" and then press Enter. (You need the quotes around file or folder names with spaces in them.)
You can then type: dir *.mp3 > list.txt and then press enter.
This will list all the mp3 files in that folder and put the list in a file called list.txt in the same folder.
You can then send list.txt as an e-mail attachment.
Additionally, you can use the /b flag at the end like this:
dir *.mp3 >list.txt /b
That will get rid of the file sizes and just give you the names.
Now just switch .mp3 with .pdf

dir /whatever switch you want to display > c:\dir.txt (or whereever you want it located or called
another cool tool
tree > c:\tree.txt
> is pretty cool for any text file. you can then do some fancy parsing and feed it to and xls or database :)
