They didn't mention anything in the invitation... any suggestions?

Nice shirt, dress pants? Possibly a tie/jacket to boot.

Dark suits

advice: always have RFD as your last resort for seeking answers, NOT the first place to ask serious questions, otherwise you'd get smartass answers (or "This Thread Is Useless Without Picutres")

If they are doing the thing with the formal 'gowns' and such, just wear "business casual" with a dress shirt, tie and nice trousers. The gown will cover you down to your knees, but your collar the top of the tie will show.

At the end when you have to give the gown back, you will still look sharp.

Business casual or formal. It's graduation...why cheap out and look like a scrub?

How 'bout an RFD T-shirt?

Or, Ebay yourself to wear an advertisement to your commencement, maybe you can make money off of that if lots of people attend.

Wear nothing but a big smile? :cheesygri

I would just ask everyone else what they are planning on wearing, then figure it out from there. I would assume it will be a dress-up event.

What took you so long?

Can't go wrong with business casual
I vote the phrase "business casual" for the RFD in-joke whenever somebody asks for fashion advices.

Business casual should work.

WOW I'm amazed. It reminds me of an high school assembly... I guess it's not such a big deal to graduate..
