any of you guys notice the massive amounts of advertising on this flyer now?
used to be my favourite because it was short, concise, and clean. but now there are literally like 10 articles and 20 pages of advertising.
i pciked one up to rread about the leafs after we won, and they didnt even have an article aobut the leafs winning!! def not torontos paper anymore.

Actually I think 24 use to be better when it first came out, even if all it included was rehashing AP stories. I think what's a bit sad is how they sometimes now have a "fake" front page that's an add and then the real front page is now page 2.

i recall just last week they had a full page ad that was for some mailorder info to pick the best numbers for the lottery draw...$50! .. pure garbage!

i actually expected someone to say this... but i wrote it anyways becuase i figured the offtopic is a place to talk about these things. i do buy the paper, but not until i get to work. i read this until i get there. im just saying that it has changed a lot since it was number 1 in toronto.
id appreciate it if you didnt call me a cheap ass. i know its FREE.

24 Hours survives on ad revenues... what do you expect?

well they used to do just fine wiht only 10 percent advertising. im just wondernig how they can even consider themselves a competitor when they have literally 95 percent advertising.... its ridiculous.
i hope the market realizes this and they go out of business soon, because they are just wasting paper and money.

I only read this when I'm bored riding the bus, and I like reading the celebrity news part of it.

I'm pretty sure that it's this paper, but does anyone else notice that 95% of the content cites ananova.com?? The whole paper consists of basically celebrity gossip stories from that one site. I kind of consider it a substitute for like the national enquirer (with like a teacher strike story on the cover)
