When I order an InStore Pickup, do I have to pay any fees for in store pickup ?

How long is it until I can pick up my order?

Thanks!

No fees. Usually takes a day or two (they just have to process the order).

I think so. At least, I did that once.

Choose "pickup at ___ store" at checkout.

When you go to the store find the online pickup desk, dont wait in line for a sales rep.

I was wondering about this and decided to do some search on the topic and found this thread under the grave... :)

I was going to place my order and then have it arranged to be a in store pickup in B.C. However, during the check out screen of "Select a Shipping & Handling" (check out process 1 of 4) I do not see in store pickup option. Does NCIX support it still? Any clue?

Thanks for your comment...

You could always just go to the store and buy it from there, it's probably faster too because you don't have to wait until the order is "ready" to be picked up.

So far, everything I've wanted, even the surprise specials, have always been in stock at the Vancouver location.

It's still there for me. You might want to try again.

Ok.. I know the reason is because I am local to Vancouver when I registered my account.....

yeah thought about that.. but in fact I don't want the person helped to pick up to run troubles.... instead I'd rather pay everything up front.

Well it's usually ready within the next day, the sales service isn't very good there. At the burnaby location whenever i don't do internet order it usually takes forever to buy something therefore I like the internet order since i can just go to the desk and pick it up.

That's true... someone should really re-vamp their whole operation. It normally takes 20+ min to get what I want. I don't know why... but I go in there, give them SKU and name of item, and it takes them a couple min to poke around using the computer.... then they process the sale.... then it takes another 5 min for them to actually find the item.

While there are lots of people lining up and waiting, the lady at the internet orders pickup desk sits there with nothing to do, asking "any internet order pickups?" every 5 minutes.

Talk about efficiency :|

I usually find it takes a while for them to find your order in the back even if you go directly up to the order pickup desk. What are they doing back there? Having a snack? Slaying the Minotaur who guards the entrance to the stock labyrinth? Grabbing a quick nap?

Come on!!

Last time I went i got kind of ticked and so did other people. It took 35 Min to get me an SD Card and a Firewire Cable! Not to mention lining up for 10 min waiting for a sales rep.

Another guy ordered a DVD burner after me and was waiting just as long too.

The wait at the Vancouver store has been getting noticeably quicker the last couple of weeks I've noticed. Never too many customers there either.
