Which camera for $220 would you recommend that can take as good a picture, the same features, but with a faster shot speed?

ah dang I just bought it at Staples for $249.99. hahaha guess I'll have to go back to Staples and demand a price match from them.

I have a better deal in regards to the A510, get it price matched at Staples and use the coupon that's $20 off of 100 and $20 off of 200. So here's the breakdown:

$219.99 - [(249.99-219.99)*10%] - $20 - $20 = $176.99 before tax :cheesygri

Now that is a way better deal!!

The A410 came out last week and it also has 3.2 MP. It also uses the DIGICII processor which can be found on the higher end Rebels.

Plus its only $200 at FS.

Hmm... Seems like a nice camera, but the feature set is not quite as robust... Smaller zoom (although not a lot of difference)... A410 @ ISO 200 vs A510 @ ISO 400... Not as many manual settings. But I guess for point and shoot, it would probably be good enough for most people looking at that price range anyhow :)

Those of you who can get into Costco, it's on sale for $209 right now.

If you're near the border and can get to a US Costco, it's selling for $160 US.

Would it be worth it to get the refurbed s500 for $300 before tax from BB over this camera at FS ? I'm leaning towards the s500 so I can make use of my cf cards.

Why not getting the refurb S45 at futureshop? Similar portability but far more manual control.
