Hey all, just wondering if any of you has heard of this guy. This guy claims theres a natural way of healing things...ie: cancer, diabetes, weight gain etc. Have any of you read his book? does it work? I've been reading these sites and it says that he's a fraud. Just wanna hear everyones take on this. Here's a link to nbc's story.

Some of his ideas may have some truth, but I wouldn't take it all as gospel.
It is wise though to eat nutritiously: whole grain bread, brown rice, whole wheat macaroni, lots of fruits and vegetables, minimal use of sugar and salt, olive oil and cut out artificial sweeteners and eat processed foods rarely.
Some would say to cut out meat, but I would say to eat less of it and eat more chicken and fish.
That's my opinion.

wow, thanks for the heads up! I know this post doesn't help your question, but thanks to the link it certainly swayed me from my long-time consideration on actually purchasing this book - which I thought may be a handy thing to have around the house.

If you were curious about this book, on ebay, i've seen them going for $9.00 or so, so if you're lucky, you'll get one for $15 rather than the $35 it's going for???

Yay for Post #400!

He's a scam artist.

Trudeau pleaded guilty in 1990 to larceny in a Cambridge, Mass., state court after being charged with depositing $80,000 in worthless checks. The following year, he also pleaded guilty to credit-card fraud in federal district court in Boston, resulting in prison term of nearly two years. The federal charges involved the use of credit-card numbers from customers of a memory-improvement course Trudeau was promoting at that time.

In Trudeau’s June 2005 newsletter which carries the headline: “The Natural Way to Cure Cancer.” In that newsletter, Trudeau wrote, “The cure for cancer is: simply stop doing the things that are causing the cancer!” - it's the same sound medical advice as where a patient complains to a doctor that it hurt to lift his arm and the doctor says, ‘Then don’t lift your arm,’”

Man what a SCAM this guy is...I was reading a website..and found this tad of info to be interesting. It's in regards to the 4 major food groups. Dairy is #1 on the list Simply because those advertisements were paid for by the Dairy association. He mentions that it's not required to have dairy in your diet, yet it's forced on people to live a healthy lifestyle, when in reality who says you need dairy to have a healthy lifestyle. I found that interesting since it never occured to me before. BUT, at the same time im not really impressed since after knowing this, it's just seems like anyone could've said it and took credit for it. I'd just Download the book for free hehehe.

i'm glad others have pointed out he is a scam. I was going to mention the top google hits note him as a scam.

i remember he used to peddle the memory skills tapes on late night infomercials before this.

i recall we had a thread about this back in the summer. do a search on it, you might find some more discussion there.

i caught something on tv the other day, it made me hate him even more that i did before.

his book is pretty much filled with slams against the FDA, and conspiracy theories.

and they were saying that in the book he keeps referring to his website, which costs $10 a month to be a member of, and THATS where most of the cures are, he points you to this website +40 times in the book.

he was also in trouble a while ago for signing bad checks.

some of his "expert" advice is to eat healthier, and get atleast 30 minutes of physical activity a day.

PURELY GROUNDBREAKING!!!

i feel bad for anyone who bought his book, check out the reviews on amazon.com for it, they aint so good.

I don't know if Kevin Trudeau mentions this, but the pharmaceutical industry and health professionals have a major interest in keeping people medicated because doctors and the companies are making lots of money off not really curing people, but giving them pills.
While medications are needed at times, I think there is way too many people on too much medication.

Here's a review from amazon

I have been involved in legal affairs for the pharmaceutical and natural health product industry for 10 years and have seen many shams: this patent deception is a sham. The author does not provide any useful insight in the book itself, requiring instead that people subscribe to his website for 'valued' information concerning natural cures.

While I have several criticisms concerning drug and natural product regulatory framework, the latent defects in the system are not revealed in the book. There is no conspiracy. There is no 'natural' cure-all concealed by industry, government, or anyone. the fear mongering claims in this book are wild, spurious and dangerous.

The claims in this book are a disgrace to the important role naturopathic medicine plays as a complementary therapy to allopathic medicine.

I remember ads on TV touting milk as the "perfect food" years ago.
Drinking milk is not a necessity for adults. There are a lot of other foods that will provide calcium and other vitamins.
But, if someone likes to drink it, that's up to them.
I rarely drink milk, but use cream in my coffee.

Milk brought at grocery stores come from cows and are for baby cattles,, not humans. So why drink it? Besides, cows are injected with so much antibiotics and other growth hormones and drugs...so milk is not really good for you. harm > benefit. Check out the documentary ' The Corporation' about the drug Prosilac that was once used in cows. Althought it is not used now.. similar alternatives are used.

Let me introduce to you Fortified Soymilk... same nutrient contents as fortified milk and i think tastes better. The brand 'Natura' found in the organic section of Loblaws even contains 2g of Fibre =8% of the RDI. (recommended daily intake) Fibre is not found in cow milk.

I remember flipping through this thing at a Shoppers while waiting for a prescription. It's the biggest piece of crap I have ever laid eyes on. I contemplated buying it just to show people how ******** it was, but then I realized that just encourages the prick to write more books.
