Where can you buy a 7800GT in Canda for 400 ? I do not think you can, lowest seems to be about 455+ plus taxes

this is probably one of the fastest AGP cards money can buy.... 7800GT is only PCI-E... this one goes out to all the AGP'ers :p

Buyers who have a motherboard with the Nforce 3 chipset beware that this card has known stuttering issues with the chipset. I have the card and so many people on the internet are having the same problem as me. BFG is trying to resolve it, but they're not getting much help from Nvidia from what I've heard. Just a heads up, otherwise, great card.

If you are gonna use this onan NF3 the poster above is correct there are issues with all 6800 series cards and NF3 , solve it with a X800XT PE

no unlock, just overclock, imagine what it would do unlocked....no 6800 series would stand a chance.

I SECOND THAT.

Excellent job giving people the heads up.. I had an nF3 MOBO and the stuttering was too annoying, I had to swap to a VIA K8T800 chipset.. Luckily NCIX let me trade up after giving them alot of grief

Only the x800 pros with vivo can be flashed and unlocked it needs to have what looks like a yellow little port at the back of the card for it to be able to be flashed. But remember these x800 pros only have 2.0 nano sec. ram and that has to be down clocked after the flash if even can be done.

http://forums.extremeoverclocking.com/showthread.php?t=122341 for unlocking, god i gotta get myself a x800 pro, but if i order it the refurbish version off the ati website, there's a chance that it could not be a vivo.

staples online price match would bring the price down to $359.99, and they'd add about $15(Genitech shipping fee). Use 2 staples coupon codes to save even more. Imagine if they had rebates for this card too.

staples doesn't price match clearance items or items advertised "limited quantities" you guys get a little too excited sometimes. It's also not even listed on the futureshop website only the regular 6800 Ultra for $849 so no PM their either.

Well since the card is being discontinued, I guess Staples stock is in limited quantities as well
That's a typo on Future Shops site. It's the same card.

I had that problem too with an nf3 mobo and a 6800LE...i googled it and someone said to turn off agp fastwrites. I did that, and havent had the problem since, but I havent done too much gaming since school started, so I dont know if it worked for sure. Can anyone confirm/deny that this works?

not to get off topivc but to unlock a X800 Pro it requires 2 things. 1st card needs Sasmung 2 ns DDR or better yet the 1.6ns DDR3 , a rage theatre chip on it as well as VIVO. The non vivo AGP/pci-e X800 pros have a bit harder time being bios flashed to X800XT PE bios. The hard mod portion is really not required, if you need more voltage as X800 Pros are 1.3 and the X800X PE is 1.4 you just do a simple pencil mod

But if you get a X800 Pro VIVO these are basically X800XT PE cards with 4 pipes hidden. Some will truly mod and work perfect on an X800XT PE bios others will go as far as X800XT bios of 520/540 but if you got lucky like me mine did 526/573 on a X800XT PE bios and it would do 545/580 solid and I did not bother for more as I sold it on the board yesterday for 300 with a Silencer on it and all accessories. It scored 6500 in 3D05

I have a Sapphire pci-e X800GTO2 that is unlocked to 16 pipes and running X850XT PE bios if interested in this rare beast pm me

Was anyone able to pricematch this with either Futureshop or Staples?

I notice Genitech lists it as a white box retail which they might make a fuss over.

I tried a pricematch with staples.ca but they turned it down citing the fact that it was out of stock.

edit: after reading the email again. It was the fact that it was white box that was the deciding factor apparently.

Notice Genitechs description says "Full Retail White Box"
We would have to find out if it's the same as what Staples sells.
Staples did PM my 6600GT with Genitech.

BFG has 2 versions.

first is the fulll retial box - green box with plastic window like you see in big name brand stores.

2nd is a white box with a white label on it. basically the same contents, just a cheapo box. good luck pricematching - they are not the same prosuct technically speaking - different packaging.

EDIT - X800PRO VIVO - X800XT flashing - see www.techpowerup.com - very easy to do - 1st idenify if you card can be flashed - find max Oc on core and memory using atitool or similiar - download needed bios' from the net - boot up into dos and flash away - safest settings - flash to unlock 16pipes then flash back to original bios w/16pipes enable - run stock during rest - Oc with atitools during play ;p

Don't mean to threadjack, but I thought I should rectify this in case anyone had this problem or is thinking of getting this card...

Possible solution to the infamous 6800 stutter.

Staples online PM was denied with no details as to why. Only that both items were different. I replied back asking for more details, and mentioned that Genitecs' was retail white box. I guess they didn't know what to say...they replied back and approved the PM :-0 I'm shocked.

My CC was even charged and the PM credit issued. The only good thing is I get free shipping for the .99 sale items I ordered with it.
