I am using Internet Explorer 6.0 and it is working OK for me.

To manually change pages find the following in the URL

Change PG0001 to PG0002 then PG0003 - get the idea?

Why is it that the flier says (Page 9 of FutureShop Flyer) "PVR150 150$ - save 50$", but the popup box says "Save 50$ - Price 50$"? All of the math seems to be screwed up in the popup boxes. This is not the only case, but all popup boxes seem to be misreporting the price.

ex: ATI X850 256meg AGP card (page 9, FutureShop) - Save 70$, price 70$ according to the pop-up box. 330$ according to the flyer.

Math problems - well I guess these things are still "under development" so there are errors to be found.

I wonder how long it will take for the FS / BB webteam to see in the logs that we are looking at these flyers and then do something about it. Ha ha ha - these things are supposed to be "secrets" because knowledge of future sales affects sales in the present - ie people waiting for things on sale.

... but then again who ever said that the FS/BB team was smart - ha ha ha

As for the paper flyers - I guess that depends on where you live and when your local newspaper gets delivered. From personal experience I always get the flyers on Friday (or Saturday if the paper is late). FS and BB staff never want to hand out a flyer early.

Thats a pretty nice laptop for the price. The next closest i've been looking at is the Acer 1694WLMI (http://www.ncix.com/products/index.php?sku=14918&vpn=LX.A6505.031&manufacture=Acer&promoid=1001) from ncix. They have similar listed specs, altho it seems everyone getting the acer from ncix have the P4-M 2.0GHz and X700 64Mb chips in them.

I see that nx week FS will have the Hauppauge PVRUSB on sale for $149 again. I wonder if it'll ever get cheaper than that. It's a pretty decent mouse, as far as cordless ones go. I had to RMA my MX700 and they sent me the MX1000; it's better than the 700, but not by much. Next mouse I get will definitely be corded.

I would go for the compaq one if i were you. I dont know anything about the Gateway brand. But I think Compaq is a better brand than Gateway. Both laptops are very heavy. So there isnt a difference in size.

Well.. If you are not a Gamer then Compaq notebook (R4025CA) will save you good amount of money but then again you get what you pay.

If you are considering Gateway notebook (MX7515) then I'd better say go with MX7510GX if you can find because it has all the same specs except the processor is 3700+ (2.4Ghz) instead of 4000+ (2.6Ghz) but you will have true 128MB local memory video card instead of just 64MB local memory in MX7515.

This improves your gaming performance:

(MX7510GX) - 3DMark05 score - 1700+
(MX7515) - 3DMark05 score - 1300+

BUT.. CPU mark difference is about 175+ in favour of MX7515. So the choice is yours.

That's what you can use their Price Protection policy for :) If they won't let you do it, just return and repurchase!

I'm not sure how they do it online, but instore: They will do a refund and repurchase. When you repurchase the item, it's treated like a new sale, and the rebate form should print out with it.

Hey Folks - that Gateway Laptop - MX7515 - the link where the price is $1,199 is the .COM site which is the US site and that is the US price.

Weird thing to check out is the price differences between the flyer and the Bestbuy.ca home page.

On the BB Homepage the Samsung DLP TV is listed at $1,994.99 but then when you go to the TV page and even in the Flyer the price is $2,199.99.

On the BB Homepage the Samsung 26" LCD TV is listed at $1,484.99 but then you go to the TV page and even in the Flyer the price is $1,499.99

Why is BB so incompetent with all these pricing mistakes?

The Samsung LCD TV is not a bad price considering at the US version LNR268W (same electronics but different cosmetics according to Samsung Canada) has a street price of about us$1,200 which is about cdn$1,440. I wish the 2" was back on sale at the $1,999 price that it was at a month ago.

lol... i'd think that now FS/BB are "aware" of the "advanced-release" of their flyers online :lol: , they've prbly fixed'em so that no1 now can access them except for themselves.


btw, i believe OP posted last wk the following wks' flyers as well... both were nothing too special... u should've looked at'em while they lasted.

and as for seriours sam 2 it gotten delayed for stores to get it for some reason! it got released on the 11th, but stores won't get it till 13th. witch sucks on big games they release it the proper days.. oh well jut my 2 cents.

Could be a couple of reasons:
1. they maybe changed the flyer
2. you weren't looking at the right flyer for your area

How can there be no gateway notebooks (seen on the front page) in stock anywhere in Ontario nor online? I was up at 7 AM EST and didn't see any in stock...How can they advertise this on the front page and have no stock? Anyone see any in stores in the GTA (or anywhere in Ontario for that matter)?
