I have a question regarding shootout goals. Heatley scored during the shootout so does that count as an official goal or no?

With the power of the ninja turtle bass
Iceman, ya know I’m not playin’

I admit they didn't do particularly well yesterday, but we pulled out a W. Good teams always find a way to win.

well, seems like that game finally shut up some sens fans. . .all of those predictions of a huge sens blowout seem pretty foolish, don't they?

sorry ladies, but your sens got outplayed by the lowly leafs, who played most of the game without their best player--if it wasn't for a couple of nice plays by a single player, the sens would have taken the loss for sure.

wonder what's going to happen when they play some 'decent' teams???

hey there afong56...in one fail swoop, you have classified all Sens fans predicting the Sens would blowout the leafs - that's foolish on your part, and also a tad ignorant. It also shows that you haven't read all the posts around here, or at bare minimum have selective memory.

Ain't it amazing if the leafs played the style of game the Sens did last night, the headlines would be "leafs show grit, determination and heart in coming back", whereas the headlines now are "Sens got lucky".

As far as calling the leafs a 'non-decent team', don't be so hard on your team. They showed great character last night inspite of losing Sundin early on... Lindos was unstopable last night, and you have to hope he can sustain this level of play for the duration of the Season...

Not a sens fan, though i am glad to see heatley playing well and scoring the GWG of sorts. Got to commend this guy for coming back after the incident.

Did Heatly take any of his teamates out for drinking after the game in his Ferrari?

No, but he was nice and stayed after the game and helped Lindros, Allison and Domi put their clothes on. They sure do have problems after their brain problems.

So Heatley is the reason it's now legal in Canada.

hardly. i always choose my words carefully. if you read my post, you will notice that i clearly wrote "some sens fans". i never make crass generalizations if i can avoid it, so fear not, i didn't overstate myself.

Ain't it amazing if the leafs played the style of game the Sens did last night, the headlines would be "leafs show grit, determination and heart in coming back", whereas the headlines now are "Sens got lucky".

so where did i label the leafs a non-decent team? i leave that to the leafs-haters on this board, of which, there are many. as for the sens, they had better show up with more fire and desire than they did last night, or they will be nowhere close to the class of the east.

i watched the entire game, and heatley was hardly the presence that he could be--maybe it's rust, and i'm sure sens fans are hoping it is too. without alfredsson, the sens would have lost for sure. and no doubt, they were fortunate to make it to overtime and a shootout, considering how badly they were outplayed by the leafs for the majority of the game. grit and determination? maybe you were watching a different game than the rest of us.

you guys are stupid, poking fun at serious situations, what if you had to live your life with the realization that you were responsible for your best friends death
