Does anyone know any good deals?
My last pair was Addidas - from Sportmart a few years back - 70$. Can't seem to find anymore of them. Budget is around 80$.
Has to be gum sole (the yellow semi-transparent material).
Thanks.

I was able to pick up some decent ones from Nationals (Nike) for around 69.99. Take a look there, as specialty stores will be pretty expensive

National Sports has quite a few court shoes with Gum rubber soles. Munizo brands are made for more volleyball but just as good for badminton. One cheaper priced was Nike Air Digs, think there was name change to Muti-court. Reg $90 can be had for as cheap as $45 depending on season.

Did you try looking into Yonex shoes? You can find these shoes at First Markham Place at Yo's or badminton clubs such as Lee's or Mandarin.
PS. If you have a Yonex racquet bag you want to get rid of, sell it to me =P

Checked National Sports. Had a Mizuno Wave Runner on sale (last year's model) for $99 (down from about $150)... but didn't have my size. Damn.! I would have bought it even tho a little over my budget coz it looked real nice.
As for YO Sports, the cheapest on-sale price he had for me (and my size) was $150 for Yonex shoes.
Lee's - same story as YO Sports. Haven't bothered to check Mandarin.
Thanks for the suggestions tho.

Not particular that it HAS to be for badminton.
As long as it has the gum sole and good to play badminton with ( I know there are trendy shoes with gum soles !!)
Brand name doesn't matter but I did find the Addidas pair I bought (which I mentioned in the beginning) was pretty good.

I have had the generic court shoes (from Nike) as well as court shoes from Yonex, and IMHO, unless you are a very advanced played, the difference isn't that big of a deal that will turn you into a winning player (same as racquet), I chose to save the extra $60-70 and spent it on strings since I string them at quite a high tension and they break every so often.

My point exactly.. I don't consider myself THAT advanced to go for expensive shoes. :D

needed volleyball shoes (also considered court shoes) for my son and found some reasonable shoes at www.canuckstuff.com (store in Scarborough). I was unable to get to the store but used them to pricematch at National Sports with no problem - happy shopping

also if you know your exact size for Yonex and you know someone going to asia soon, ask them to pick you up a pair there. I got a real pair of SHB99's (top end Yonex shoes) for ~$60CDN. good luck!
