I have for sale a Sony MZ-N505 Net MD MiniDisc Player/Recorder.
I am also open to trades, so let me know if you have anything to offer (I will also offer "plus cash" or the other items in my other thread if necessary)
Here's a link to the product review at Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B000065CE1/104-1956886-4531113?v=glance

Everything is working and I'll include 5 MDs, including 1 brand new one! Not pictured is the USB cable and manuals, which I will include as well. Asking $50 and I will combine shipping on the items in my other for sale thread in my signature.
I also have a Curtis CD player with 20 sec anti-skip that I don't need anymore but I don't really want to throw away. I'll give it to you for free if you pick it up or make me some kind of deal (I'm not going to ship it for free). If you buy the MD player, I'll throw it in for free!

Hey,
I would just like to know how much music can one MD hold?
And what kind of batteries does the player take?
I'm kinda interested in purchasing, due to the price, but I fear that shipping costs will be high.

The link to the Amazon review should answer most questions (note that mine is not the fugly gold one pictured there), however:
I found on average, a MD holds about 80 4 min songs on LP4 (lowest bitrate setting, I think equivalent to 128kbps MP3).
This MD player (and most for that matter) takes 1 (one) AA battery. You get about 50-60 hours playback time on that...more if you're using a high capacity NiMH rechargeable. The battery life can't be beat.
As far as shipping goes, it shouldn't be any more than $10 to anywhere in Canada, and that includes insurance. That is, unless you live in Inuvik or someplace. In fact, I will personally guarantee that I will not charge more than $10 shipping to ANYWHERE in Canada! How's that?

Bump for the netMD.
I have been using an MD players for years and find their sound quality to be excellent. The sound quality is better than some flash-based players I have tried.

Yes, although you'll have to have a stereo source or get a splitter or have a y cable.
