Try Black's. When I bought my Pentax, I was surprised that Black's had the best price. Then I changed my mind and switched to the Canon. Then, I changed my mind again and switched back to the Pentax. Tell me FS or BB would let you do that without a major hassle.

Black's gets all of my camera business because of their fantastic customer service.

Buy one used (www.nikonians.org). I've seen a few going for $650 for body only (D70). Someone is selling a kit in Canada for $1000 flat at that site. Check it out.

Also, B&H or Adorama have better prices, even after customs/shipping it's still cheaper more often than not. Buying this stuff in Canada sucks...so expensive.
