Hey, I just bought a panasonic 42" plasma from the brick. I need to switch one of my receivers to get HD programming. Also, I need a LNB upgrade kit so I can pick up the HD channels.
I called bell and they will sell me a 9200 receiver for 599$ or a 6100 for 299$ and the LNB dish upgrade kit for 90$ extra. My problem is they're hitting me for an extra 90$ when they could just send me the 9220 or 6120 kit (which includes a new dish, eliminating my need for a 90$ LNB upgrade kit) instead.
So basically, I'm wondering if anyone knows how I can get a 9220 for 599$ or a 6120 for 299$. I really don't want to get screwed for an extra 90$. I know a guy who works for Bell World, he would sell me the new installation kit instead of the existing customer kit but they are out of stock and don't know when they're getting them back.
I'll be eligible for a 35% bell employee discount as of January 1st, so I'll most likely go with the 6120 until then (unless anyone has a better idea). My employer was just taken over by bell.
