Erm, I saw some advertised in yesterday's Canadian Tire flyer. Don't know how Canadian Tire measures up to the competition though...
You can find them on the www.canadiantire.ca website.
Go to Home Page>Automotive>Tires & Rims>Winter Tires
There are 10 dollar off deals on all Nordic brand tyres. Don't know if they're any good... I don't bother changing tires for the winter...
Nordic Wintertrac tyres from 39.99
Nordic Icetrac tyres from 59.49
Canadian Tire include the installation, valve rotation, flat repairs and things like that in the price.
Shop around, you might find better ?

I looked at the CT tires last year for one of my Toyotas. I believe they're rebadged BFGoodrich Winter Slalom (http://www.1010tires.com/tirereviews/BFGoodrich_Winter_Slalom_tire_reviews.html) tires. The Michelin tires are the best overall from what I can tell but twice the price. Walmart currently has their winter tires on sale as part of their anniversary ad. I have a set. They're not bad and far superior to the terrible Uniroyal Tiger Paw AS tires that came with the car. Walmart's Wintermarks are $49 to $59 for 14" and $59 to $69 for 15". Worth a look as its unusual to get a sale price at the beginning of the season. Remember, you need them all around.

Hey if you call or go into a Kal Tire, ask about their Nokian Tires. They have all season tires that are good for 100kms + . they do flats for free if you buy from them, free rotations, etc, etc, at any Kal Tire store across Canada. A good deal if you get a flat on your vacation.
the Nokians are real good in snow, I live in Calgary, have a front wheel drive car and they get me through anything. I have done the Coq highway in a bad snow storm where suvs are in the ditch and my car kept track and crusing past others.
Bottem line, Nokians are a great deal as you dont need two sets of tires, and they are good summer and winter tires.
Check em out. - Hope this helps.
ps they are not your crappy tire 50.00 tires, they are more, but you get what you pay for in the end.
fyi my friend had a flat, and she took her suv to crappy tire, they said they could not fix her flat but could sell her another great tire. she went to another place and they fixed her flat for her.
beware of crappy tire !
