I'm looking to buy a new leather Jacket. Where's the best place to go? of course, I want a good jacket, for the best price. Hopefuly nothing more then $400.

is it really that good? I've been in there on boxing day before. They don't have those types of sales any other time?

Danier is ok overall if you go to their outlet,
but most of their jackets are made in China thesedays.

The Bay is usually pretty good and has alot of selection and has alot of Stuff made in Canada that is good quality.

For $400 try maybe Holt Renfrew on their clerance and holiday or friends/family sale (also when uopen an account there you get something like 20% off all your first day purchases.....or you used to anyways).

You might do ok at winners, but people pick up stuff there pretty quick.

hmmm, actually try Gregory's leather's in ottawa.
They make custom jackets for about $400 and up in any colour and style you want.
My dad used to shop there as he could not find a jacket that fit him properly in leather.
so get your tailor or dry cleaner to measure you and send them your measurements.
they are on Rideau st in ottawa!
they might have a website, not too sure......?

thanks! that was extremely informative. I was at The Bay after work on Friday and found the perfect Leather Coat....well, almost perfect. Great Length, great colour, great leather.....but not the greatest price. $1500.....

I was able to convince the saleperson to give me 20% off...but even still...it was out of my price range....

I'll check out Holt, and check out the Danier Outlet (There should be one in Hamilton or Heartland if I'm not mistaken). I'll even stop by a winners if I see one.

winners is always worth a shot. i know the one in park royal in west vancouver had some amazing jackets. for big ticket items maybe they won't get snapped up so quick.

you're right though, it's hit or miss.

I bought my Bostonian leather bomber at Moores for $229 (and that was for the tall size).

I'm looking for a long leather jacket that I can wear to work over my suit. I'll probably start looking around tomorrow in the area.
