View Full Version : So I'm reading the free 24 Hours paper today and I found the front page a bit odd.

The cover has a picture of Govenor General Michaelle Jean who was just sworn in as the representative of the monarchy. She's a black female and the caption to the picture reads "Building bridges". I found the picture to be a bit odd. She is obviously waving to the crowd but from this one frame she has her hand high above her head looking like she's giving the nazi salute. Could they have not chosen a better picture? Black female, "building bridges" and nazi salute. I actually found it kind of funny.

Wow, in every other pic I've seen she looks really young for her age. In that one, she looks like a grandmother.

It does not look like a nazi salute to me. The arm was not straight and the hand was not flat. I don't have that impression at all.

The Seinfeld episode where that guy Elaine works for gives the nazi salute with the drawn in ink mustache was on last week :lol:

I've noticed the same...another one who has that kind of gestalt effect is that crazy psychiatrist who writes for the Toronto Star's Life section.

OTOH, Michaelle Jean's husband looks like the Cryptkeeper no matter which way the light is shining.

When we're all on HDTV, they are going to have to find some new makeup for the new resolution :)

editors play these pranks within "their" press community.

if they don't like a particular person/case, they will find the worst picture possible.
