My computer - as of yesterday - started beeping for 1 second, stops for 1 second, and conitues beeping, pausing, beeping, etc.

Windows XP does not start anymore. The monitor does not start, I cannot see anything on the screen. I cannot see the BIOS information on the screen - nothng.

I have removed the ribbons in the case, replaced them, removed and put in the videocard again, but nothing changes. Keeps beeping at me...

Perhaps the MOBO has gone to the poop?

Sounds like your POST is trying to tell you something. Open up the manual for your MoBo and figure out what that combination means.....

This maybe a stab in the dark, but remove the Keyboard or Mouse, sometimes a faulty KB or Mouse might cause this to happen.

Sounds like a ram problem to me. Try removing and re-installing your ram, one stick at a time.

try clearing your CMOS too. It's done through setting a jumper, read the manual for the mB
