Is there such a thing?
I've being given an internal dvd drive but I have no room in my tower for it. I was wondering if there is a case you can purchase to make an internal into an external.
TIA

Almost any computer outfits carry them nowadays. Realistically, you will need at least USB 2.0 to use one. If you have Firewire port available on your system, it will work as well.

To clarify your question ... You won't be able to fit a 5.25" DVD drive into a typical 3.5" external HD enclosure. You need 5.25" external enclosure. Some brands/models are faster and pricier. It's your choice.

They look something like this ...
