Astonshell help

I've recently tried some shell alternatives, most notably astonshell
my problem is that after ive been using this shell for a while....the internet stops working
its really strange

im running windows xp sp2
and im using bell sympatico wired from my integrated lan to a Siemens Speedstream 6520
any help would be greatly appreciated
i had finally customized most of what iw anted when it stopped working ><
