Ordering Rogers HD

I am about to purchase an HDTV, and am checking out Rogers HD service online. To me it looks like I need to get the Ultimate TV digital pack, and then I can rent the HD terminal for $12.95 per month. Am I correct? Does anyone have HD service through Rogers?

I have Rogers HD but pay for basic cable. I don't pay any extra for digital or HD channels. If you want to spend $5 more mth then you get the timeshifting HD channels.

Do they ever go on sale or is $299 at FS the best I am likely to be able to get? Do you think it is worthwhile to rent or buy? Obvoiusly at today's rates its about 2 years worth of rental, but I am guessing box cost will decrease over time.
