Using this KVM with two AMDs and a Dell 2005.

... switch is supposed to change when you hit Scroll Lock but no dice. I've just re-connected it after buying a new comp but now that I think about it the Dell was its downfall, it has not worked since I switched monitors. No beeping sound or change of lights. Anyone?

It could be the Dell keyboard that causes the problem. Try to replace it with one of the two AMD's you had.
You are trying to connect two systems and not three, right?

yeah, sorry - 2 PCs both running XP Home. The monitor is a Dell and the keyboard is the MS 'Internet' model from FS for $13 a while back.

I used to switch easily between my old comps but that was with an Acer monitor. When I bought the 2005FPW in the first Dell deals last March it stopped working, thought I'd give it another shot but still no worky. I'm gonna try exchanging the KVM switch at staples under the 3 year warranty.

You beat me to that. And, of course, if a windows system reboot, it turned off the F-lock again on that connection. Pain of the b...

Wait! Does that keyboard have F-lock?

Try changing the kb / mouse port. That is use the kb cable in the mouse port of the cpu and mouse port cable in the kb port of the cpu.

You could google and find like suggestions. Similar problem with IBM and that is how I fixed.

Thanks all, no experimenting time rite now but I can do some tinkering tomorrow...I have a Logitech 'Office Pro' KB I can try, any known issues before I dig it out? [yep, NCIX $5.99 deal - I love cheap KBs, heheh]

Just got so used to this old MS model I didn't want to change.
