View Full Version : can't read DVD+R on laptop

hello

i can't read my burnt DVD+Rs on my laptop DVD rom, but i can read -R discs just fine..

the model is TEAC DVD-ROM DV-28e

i can't seem to find any new drivers either

any help would be appreciated

according to this:

it only reads -R's, not +R's.

However, you can try a firmware update, maybe that will let it read +R's.

I have found that sometimes burning a dvd+r with bit setting to dvd-rom allows the disc to be read by rom drives that normally can't read dvd+r discs. I ran into this problem on a Mac with a Panasonic dvd-rom drive.
