Can anyone help me out by telling me some good furniture stores in Montreal? I am going there this weekend to look for furniture for my new house. We like stores like DeBoers, M-Y Home ..etc. So basically good quality furniture in the middle - high end range. We are not interested in furniture from places like Ikea.

So if anyone can shoot some names of stores, websites and addresses, that would be great. We have only been to 1 furniture store caled Lida furniture. it is not bad. We are more into modern furniture, nothing too traditional.

Thanks in advance!

We have a Mobilia store here in Ottawa too. Their products are really nice, and the price isn't bad, but my beef is that they take forever to deliver your purchase. It's practically custom furniture because they manufacture the stuff in Asia, and production starts when you place your order. Our bedroom set took four and a half months to be delivered. If you want some instant furniture for your new house, avoid places like that.

This is exactly what I have heard first hand. Lots of friends have had to wait months for their furniture. Alot of stores do this though, but they seem to always take longer to deliver the runiture than they originally tell you.

for modern theres a few dowtown ... theres one on the corner of crescent and sherbrook (i belive if not very close to there right across from the museum on sherbrooke) ... theres one near the corner of st-catherine and mackay ... and theres also a really big one on de maisoneave and im not sure lol its after peel but before berri on the north side of the street but you cant miss it .. anyways if you drive or walk around downtown youll notice all these little furniture stores ... i also saw one going down st-denis i believe but it was like an art gallery furniture store way too expensive and i cant confirm thats the right street either so dont go to that one lol... if you like places like lida... try le pere du meuble ... its a french name but its italian furniture around the same price or slightly higher price than lida but you can bargain with the guys ... its on jean-talon est between lacordaire and langelier also on the north side of the street its at a corner of a street which i dont know the name but its pretty big so you wont miss it either ... (that one is in Saint Leonard) ... Hope this helps and that you dont do too much location hunting lol... Later.
