Well, 3 of the 4 are worth buying, Fantastic 4 I wouldn't touch with a 50 feet pole.

War of the World was mispriced on Amazon.ca at like 11.50$ or something, migth still be.

War of the Worlds, Batman Begins and possibly the Family Guy movie(want to DL and watch before I buy)

War or the Worlds was not mispriced. Amazon was selling hte old version for $11.99 they just mistakenly attached the current WotW cast list in the description so people thought it was the new one.

War of the Worlds is that good? I avoided seeing it, during the whole Tom Cruise Goes Schizo phase.

***** SPOILERS ******

It's great. If you expect a realistic encounter of an alien invasion, then this movie is really good.
However, some people are disappointed because humans aren't the heroes and it's not us who defeat the aliens.

It seems these people would rather believe that a (very backward) computer virus is capable of knocking off the force shield of every alien ships in Independence Day.

Actually that was NOT the problem I had with the ending.

I had a problem with the typical Spielberg "happy" ending where EVERYBODY in Ferrier family survive the Alien onslaught.

EVEN the son which really was beyond the realm of possibilities IMHO.

I'll buy the Family Guy movie, and Batman Begins for sure. I'll almost certainly buy Fantasic Four.... but I won't touch War of the Worlds.

Thanks for using a spoiler man. Oops, you didn't.

Come on. Some of us have not seen movies and are waiting for them to be on DVD.

Anyways, I'm getting BB and WOTW. I might borrow F4 from my friend Juarez :D

What's wrong with happy endings?

This movie is depressive enough through out 95% of its running time. The family deserve a happy ending after what they have gone through.
Besides, there are 1 billion casualities caused by the invasion according to the movie, that means 5 out 6 people in the world survived. So Ferrier's family is batting 4 for 4...i don't see any problem with it.
