I picked up a couple of spindles in the Edmonton South Future Shop Sunday afternoon. They had probably 20 or so left on the clearance table near the cashiers.

Some were made in Taiwan; some in Malaysia. I purchased the Taiwan spindles and they seem decent. They burn at 16x in my Benq 1620 Pro.

$5 for 25? 20 cents a disc....

I dunno about BenQ.... I think I'd rather go with the maxell ones for 26.5 cents a disc...

But good deal anyway.

BenQ 8x DVD-R burns at the rated speed on my 3520A ... Out of 50, there were ~ 2 that has manufacturing defects on the burning side of the discs.

i think ur right...

the MIT ones are likely w/ the Daxon media code...

not sure, but the MIM discs are prbly better (or so i've heard)

-------------

btw, OP, nice deal... $0.20/disc > same as the vakoss $5/25pk and $20/100pk at BB that i posted about ... ;)

but i think these benq discs are better than those vakoss...

I saw these BenQ disks on the clearance tables as well at well over 3 FS's, but they were all $12.97 (BTW this is GTA area), and not $4.97. I might go check it out again to see if they've changed the price chainwide.
