Stooples online site says 49.95

http://www.staples.ca/ENG/Catalog/cat_sku.asp?CatIds=89%2C93%2C424,425&webid=572334&affixedcode=WW

Instore it is 119.95

so 110% PM with their own company is 42.95.

THIS iS B&M only. you cannot pm online. You must pm instore.

Futureshop has is for 49.99 for the woodtrim.. but if u missed it.. this is a HOT deal...

*if only it was still 150% pm.. this would be killer..

enjoy guys.

ONE MORE THING:

The woodtrim version look better but they are actually the OLDER MODEL. THE Z-3e at stooples is a NEW model so for 42.95, its a good deal. Stooples do not have the woodtrim version because its about to be discontinued and the replacements were the Logitech Z-3e.

Does staples 110% themselves?

They don't. I tried with the MS USB Keyboard (Web price $29.95, instore for 39.95). They said they only PM 100% with themselves, except online exclusives (eg $20 Logitec Laptop mouse+)

Believe it or not a friend once managed to get Staples to 150% pricematch their website! He was buying a Hauppauge PVR250 and wanted the store to sell the card at the same price as their website which had it cheaper. The newbie cashier had no problem giving the pricematch but rang it up as a 150% pricematch!

In normal circumstances, however, I would be surprised if they would do anything other than match their website price.

Right you are, here is the text from the policy:

From time to time, our catalogue, internet and store prices might temporarily not match due to printing press deadlines. If this happens, you will get the lowest price of the three. We will not offer the additional 10% credit.

If you get the extra 10% in-store when PM against Stooples web price, consider yourself lucky.

Does staples 110% themselves?

Yes they do. I PM'ed 150% when I bought a MS mouse and a Num pad for my laptop. But it was like 10 months ago. I went to a B&M and ask a staff to to look for the items I saw on their website. Since he didn't know which mouse and Num pad I was looking for, we went to the website to look for the item #. Then we found out online was cheaper then instore. I didn't expcet the 150% PM but he gave it to me anyway. Maybe I was lucky and I had no complaint.

Staples does not participate in this voluntary program.

And as it's been said, officially, there's no way in hell that they should 110 themselves. That said, there are some VERY dumb cashiers out there.... ;)

Here's hoping that when I go to pick mine up tomorrow that the cashier IS just that stupid.

Okay, seriously. To price match, all I have to do is go up to the cashier and tell them another store has a lower price?

What about the legendary $25 lcd deal? Didn't that person PM Staples against their website?

yes the did... i believe only a VERY few # RFDers got in the deal... (the 1st deal comin from Montreal i think)

not very many ppl got that deal b/c most CSR/MODs claimed price error (obvious) and thus just refused to PM themselves 100%

those few who got it had a very nice mgr that was willing to 100% PM their stooples online price... (luck b******s  )
