Hi Guys,

I am just wondering, I have an used LCD monitor, I want to use it to watch TV.
I heard there is something like an external TV tuner that convert TV signal to VGA monitor signal, but I have no luck searching it. (May be my wording is not right).

I have only have regular cable. Thanks in advance.

Cheers,

Viewsonic has a whole series of products that will do what you want. They're called NextVision Video Processors.

Viewsonic Link (http://www.viewsonic.com/products/tventertainment/tvvideoprocessors/nextvisionn5/)

The N5 is the most common, but the N4 and N6 will do what you want also.

EDIT: CC has the N5-2 on their site: CC Link (http://www.canadacomputers.com/index.php?do=ShowProduct&cmd=pd&pid=004525&cid=CC.344)

Lots of LCD Monitors will come with the inputs you are looking for. Not necessarily a TV Tuner, but video inputs than you can feed from any source you want.

If you already have an LCD you want to use, I've seen the device you're looking for. Converts video (RCA) to VGA, dont remember if it had a tuner.

AverMedia (http://www.aver.com/products/tvtuner.shtml#1) makes what you want. FS & BB used to sell it last year. The 5 & 9 version do not requre a PC, and both come with a remote control.
