Hi,

I bought a ASUS K8N motherboard last week, installed a 64-bit Sempron on it, but I can't increase the voltage. I can change the DRAM voltage, the bus frequency, mem frequency, but not the CPU stock voltage :(

Its really annoying cause my PS is supplying a bit less than stock, 1.38 instead of 1.4V, and its hurting my o/c (stuck at 2.3Ghz from 1.6Ghz) and I know I can hit 2.5 easy.

This board was advertised as being good for o/c, but so far it sucks, cause it only supports overclocking it seems for Cool and Quiet CPUs (AMD Athlon 64s :( )

Does anyone have any bios updates/editors that allow you to unlock the voltage adjustments for Semprons? I am using the latest 007 bios revision....

I had the K8N-E, and I recall it being in the Jumperfree section. You may have to update the bios to get the option.

i checked, apparently u must enable Cool and Quiet to have that option, but my Sempron does not have/support Cool and Quiet....

any ideas?

I'm using the newest bios, any older versions aren't supported by my new cpu
