My case of choice only comes in black so my floppy drive with a beige faceplate does not look good in it.
So far my options are:
* Get a black floppy faceplate from somewhere and retrofit it to the drive.
Anybody got one?
* Get a floppy drive with a black faceplate.
Prices: here (http://tinyurl.com/dgwol) and here (http://tinyurl.com/caarf).
* Get a combination floppy / card-reader
Something like this (http://tinyurl.com/cv2ch)
What do you think?

1) Even if you changed the faceplate, wouldn't the flap still be beige? ...i don't remember if the flap was part of the face plate or not, but i'm quite sure it isn't. It's been a while since I really looked at a floppy drive though. :)
2) I don't know if you can even fine a black faceplate, but it's definately alot less hassle to just buy a black FDD.
3) Might be cheaper or even cost the same to buy a seperate black fdd and a seperate black 3.5" 7in1 card reader than to take up a whole 5"25 bay that I would rather use for something optical instead. But it's up to you.

Or get a friend with the skills to spray the bezel to match your case.

:arrowu: lol, that works too - but make sure you've seen some of his other work before letting you mess with your FDD. I've seen really crappy paintjobs that just end up making the hardware look worst than it originally was. :D

Amen to that... I've seen optical drives that could've looked better if they were dipped in paint.

The best is to go for a black floppy drive. That's what I did. It's too much of a hassle to paint it (and you have to buy paint if you don't have anything lying around).
But if you have a Lian Li case, you could check this out:
