I bought this box of Jamaican Beef Patties from one of those large warehouse stores that give out out coupons and was eating them two at a time, sometimes twice a day. Then someone told me about the "nutritional" content in them or lack thereof...
Straight from the box:

Watch out for those patties!!
Among tons of other things people eat in life. :D I am not gung-ho about reading labels. But I've developed a habit to take a glance if it's there. That's good enough to deter me from a lot of impulsive buys on snacks and junk food

11+18+48+4.8+1.6 = 83.4 g.
130 - 83.4 = 46.6 g of mystery matter with no nutritional value. That's a third of the patty by mass!

yes patties are pretty bad...they didn't even list the sodium content which is no doubt damn high
that's a horrible way of determining whether a food is good for you or not

Yes these things definitely aren't nutritional powerhouses, but most food that tastes good aren't either. It's always about the portions!
