Want to buy Ice Skates that are on CLEARANCE. I'm a size 5 in skates (6 in reg shoes). Looking to spend less than $100. Prefer the hockey skates to figure skates. Looking for a HOT deal with a huge discount (preferrably).

well go to your local sportchek...
not sure if you would spend that much but for like 180 they have bauer 5000's.... *at least they used to...* and those were like 400$ skates....
heat mouldable so they fit great...
other then that look for a bauer supreem 1000 or 3000....or the newer 2000 or 4000.... the 1000, 3000 and 5000, are discontinued so they will be cheaper... My opinion.... bauer skates tend to feel more confortable. at least the supreeme ones do. the Vapor skates are lighter.
If bauer's dont feel right... then CCM has the 952's and 1052's under 200$.
once again... not sure how much you will spend... *i play hockey so yea :P*
bauer vapor VII's aren't a bad skate.... half decent... and are 120 at sportchek.
to be honest... most quality skates wont come under 100$....
if you go to sport junkies sumtimes they got new skates for cheap....
Happy Shopping...
I would definetly recommend going to sportchek for skates cuz they normally get lots of old model skates to sell off for a good price

Thx for the info. I'm not a hockey player ... would just like some skates for those Sunday afternoon fun skates at my local rink/arena.
Sportchek did have some decent deals for under $100. I tried Wal-Mart, and they have a nice CCM pair my size (size 5) for around $60. I think Cdn Tire has some on clearance .. will check later on this week.
Any other stores/places have skates on clearance?

depends on the area you are.... like vancouver area has lots of good skate shops...
i wouldn't recommend going for the 60$ skates.... just because most of the time you pay for comfort.... if you want cheap skates i would stick with sportchek... or sportmart... *if there is one near you*. they know more then canadian tire or walmart :P...
just depends what area you live in...
WAIT... aren't size 5's Jr's?
i think senior sizes start at 6?... if i'm not mistaken...

lol .. yes, I'm a junior size ... size 6 in reg shoes, and size 5 in skates. Just coz I buy the junior instead of the senior, I save about $10-$20! Never will need the senior coz I don't think my legs will grow anymore
I live in the Greater Toronto Area, and I DO have a Sportmart close by. Will be checking that out as well. Thx!
