I have an averatec 3150HS Available.
Specs:
Mobile Athlon-M 1600+ at 1.4 GHZ
384 DDR SDRAM
DVD-CDRW (NOT fully Functional)
40GB Drive
12.1" Screen (No dead pixels, very good condition)
4.1 lbs
3 2.0 USB ports
Issues:
1. Battery does not hold a good charge (30 min)
2. Fan is loud when the laptop is first turned on, quiets down after a few minutes.
3. On the weekend I was burning a CD and the computer crashed, I restarted the computer and changed something in the bios and now I can't get the laptop to recognize the drive everytime (recognizes the drive maybe 10% of the time now) - I get an error message saying atapi not compatible sometimes. I don't really know too much about laptop hardware so I am hesistant to try to take it apart and fix it. Hoping someone here is a little more better at it than i am
4. Minor cosmetic scratches
It is a great laptop especially for its size (but needs to have an outlet when your using it, unless you want to buy a new battery). It is running Windows XP Home Edition very very well. I have been using a usb drive to transfer files. I have the recovery cds. Pm me if you have any questions. I will add pictures soon.
Price: SOLD .
Locations: Mississuaga (rarely), downtown (daily), richmond hill (almost daily)
