Besides Wasabi on SilverStar Blvd, does anyone know where else offer sashimi on lunch AYCE menu ?

I think this is a good strategy, most of the Jap AYCE offer the same items, by just adding this salmon sashimi on the lunch menu can make them special !!! And I am sticking with it until I found another one offering the same or more

There are several new AYCE Jap buffet opened in the last two months, haven't got a chance to try all.......

Just saw an ad on the Ming Pao magazine, there is another AYCE offering sashimi on lunch menu (regular price $10.99, add $1 for sashimi, add $2 on weekend)

Forgot it's English name, but it is on SilverStar Blvd as well, right across Star Walk Buffet, in the food plaza (on the side of No Frills)

I will update after I try it this weekend.

I heard those two AYCE Jap restaurants around Wasabi area (Steele/Silverstar) are offering salmom sashimi on lunch buffet menu as well. I guess this is going to be the new benchmark and standard. And others will probably have to follow to avoid losing business as they basically have the price range, selections. So, decor, service, and this "little" addition makes it outstanding ! Tougher competition for those in this business, but better for us, consumers :)

I think the Jap food in Toronto is the cheapest you can find in the World. People in Japan will be jealous  In facts, people in Japan hardly have sushi or sashimi for their meals. It is SO SO SO expensive to have sashimi in Tokyo !!!

With the trend lately towards AYCE popping up everywhere, have you guys all forgotten the adage "you get what you pay for"? Come on, these are all chinese run restaurants (I'm chinese before you guys flame). Chinese business people aren't exactly known for putting customers before their pocket book. Do you really think you're getting good quality sashimi at AYCE prices? It's probably the cheapest farmed atlantic salmon they can get their hands on. Really not a good idea eating that stuff.

But I guess whatever farms those fish are from, they have to pass the Health Dept Standards ! All those restaurants are licenced.

Plus there is no gurrantee either you get better quality of fish from those who charge you higher. So, I guess as long as it looks and tastes fresh, it should be ok.
