Just thought I'd start one like I did last yr.

Any new students coming to UTSC? or new members who joined RFD?

What program, year etc......advise, bird courses, who's hot, who's not.... whatever, just post.

Or if you have any questions, post it, I or other ppl may have answers you're looking for.

I'm going into 4th Year Management Co-op, I'm currently on my coop term, then back to school in Fall and Winter.

UTSC actually looks quite impressive now with all the new buildings
and FYI Two bookstores this year, upstairs above Timmys will probably be open in two weeks with first year books, and the normal one will have everything else or...... vice versa. Come say Hi, sadly they employ me. :-0

Yup, well above timmys was the art studio etc. Those have been renovated and the entrance/stairs have been made already. Lots of changes over the summer, the new Arts/Admin Building is open during he day, new home of of the Registrar.

hey thephenom, how hard is it to maintain a B- in management, minimum you need to stay in co-op program. Also, what is u'r major?

mgmt is easy. dont worry guys. especially first year...
cramming is for sure doable. (dont do it in ur 2nd yr though...courses are much harder w/ more material covered) but just dont be like me self studying 3 chapters the night before ... i was like dying on my exam today... anyways. yah dont do that ! but other than that. 3.7 is easy to get in the first year even w/ cramming. (thats like A?)

I like the new gym facilities, they've created a cardio studio where the prayer room/study area used to be, with TVs and headphone jacks to plug in to listen to the audio feed from the TV. It's actually quite improved.

I'm third year CSC co-op (just finishing up my last co-op work term right now)

A 2.6GPA is easy to maintain. Just do well in first yr, and your GPA can't change much after that. I've only heard ppl get kicked out cuz they can't find a job. (Pretty hard to find a job if you don't have previous work experience or volunteering experience)

First yr management is a joke, 4.0 isn't hard.
First yr econ, not bad, once u understand the stuff, at least 3.3.
First yr calculus, 4.0 if you high 80s/90s in high school calculus
First yr com sci, if you are computer literate, and willing to read, at least 3.3
First yr accounting, B05 is easy if you've done accounting before, B06 is slightly harder. 3.0+ shouldn't be toooooo hard
Elective, find something you like.

There you have it, 1st yr isn't hard, at least to me. 2nd and 3rd year courses are harder, but as long as you do your work it isn't bad. 10hrs of class per week is a pretty easy program. ;)

There's no major in BBA, it's a specialist program already, but you can choose to stream in different fields. I haven't decided which stream, but I pretty much finished all my finance courses already.

Especially after expanding the campus.

I guess not much UTSC student on RFD here. I guess I don't really need to post most of my books here then. heh

oh dont worry, u'll be fine
UTSC is a small campus you can ask random people walking by they'll direct you

it consists of wings and buildings...
theres the S-wing - science wing... eg SW319
H-wing - humanities wing... eg HW216
M-wing - management wing.. which is the new management building
B-wing - bladent wing...
SL-108 - student centre..
the ARC..
what else.. there's the new admin and arts building..

might have missed something but as u can tell it wont be hard to figure out after a few days

LOL, that's exactly why I chose UTSC instead of UT St George because it's 10 minutes away from my house. :D
