Okay everyone, what's the best pen out there? Bic, Pentel, PaperMate?
What are your opinions?
Thanks,
Martin

The digital Logitech iO Personal Pen. Its not good for long periods of writing, but at least it records what you write.

I try to use pencil whenever possible. My favorite one is Staedtler 0.5mm automatic pencil that has a nice rubber grip.
maybe offtopic, but why havn't you posted in the last two years?

I find the Montblanc Meisterstuck rollerball pen the best pen I own. The fountain pen is also a very fine pen. Do not get fooled by imitations.

I don't like using a pen. Usually, I write with one of those cheap, recyclable BIC 0.7mm pencils that I loose every few weeks. If I do write with a pen though, the Papermate Flexgrip Ultra (Medium) gets my vote.

i almost use pencils exclusively.
I have one of those side click 0.7 Pentel mechanical pencils. Been using it since grade 8.

Bic round stick - black/blue - medium
I find these work the best when it comes to cheap pens... fewer skipping and never dies before I lose it.

That's a $230US pen. I don't know if taking it to class for note taking would be the best idea
I usually grab a ten pack of Papermate pens at the beginning of the year and I usually end up with a few unknown pens picked up from fast-food places, registrar's office, and floors...

I really like this pen that I picked up somewhere:

I don't like the cheap Bics or the Papermate flexgrips because the line is too thick; I think it's because I handwrite. I prefer pens that clicks instead of ones that have lids. They give you something to do while thinking about the question and you can have loads of fun with the spring after haha.
I avoid using pencils for notes because they tend to smudge after a while.

Hands down the Paper Mate Xtend ("Grip to the tip"), which came out a year or two ago...has a soft grip right to the tip, especially if you hold the pen close to the tip like me. It's retractable and at a reasonable cost.
For pencils I use anything with a twist-out long eraser, so I never need to carry an eraser around.

Let's start posting some Staples links!
The Xtend (http://www.staples.ca/ENG/Catalog/cat_sku.asp?CatIds=,&webid=592849&affixedcode=WW) also gets my vote.

I know most ppl on here will agree, the best pen for RFD members is:
a "FREE PEN". Everything just seems better when its free.
