Are there any veggi burgers that i can buy that do not have mushrooms in them? I can not stand the taste of mushrooms and the veggi burgers i have seen have mushrooms in them.

Try falafels. If you need a big patty, buy some falafel mix and pat your own.

they have portobello burgers at costco. my gf likes eating them, and i dont particularly enjoy mushrooms a lot, but i tried one. it doesn't really taste like mushrooms.

i've heard yves veggie burgers are really good, too.
most veggie burgers i've had have no body to them. they just fall apart in your mouth without any real substance to them. you feel like you need somehting hard to counteract the softness of the burger. Like a taco chip or something in the bun.

The Yves are the best on the market you can get in the supermarket but I really like the Lick's Nature burgers. You can get em at most A&P or Dominion stores now.
When you have em at the Lick's restaurant, they taste like a real hamburger where its hard to tell. And, they usually (and not all Lick's do) cook them on a different surface than the meat ones.

If anything, most people are brainwashed that you have to eat meat - or else you'll sort of, die or something. Let the person be a vegetarian - some people do it because of their conscience.

i never would have thought of that. that is a very good point to raise when you are ordering a veggie burger. i am wondering how many people know to ask for that, or how many burger flippers actually do that.

I clear things up, i am not a vegetarian. I just dont like eating ground up meat, because i always imagine the entire cow being thrown in the grinder. solid meat i am ok with, but i dont eat a lot.
