its been going on for a while now though..few years at least...the thing is u gotta buy one of their drinks in order to get the 1/2 off deal..that runs you 3 dollars at least for a pop and 6 for a beer..so its only really good in large quantities

but try the deep fried calamari..tastes like delicious

I used to work for east side marios, but you dont have to buy any drinks to receive this. they just have it cause thats when the bar area slows down, so it gets business during those hours. You can just go for the appetizers

I think ALL restaurants & Bars are smoke free in Ontario.

I believe they have to be partitioned from the rest of the restaurant and ventilated...for now.

anyways, i've had these specials at the bar and I think its a pretty good deal. you get some pretty good sized portions too.

last time i went with my gf and we ordered some wings, calimari, and bbq chicken pizza off the appetizer menu and we couldn't even finish it, which says a lot cause she eats like a pig!

I went to East Side Marios yesterday for lunch, for the first in YEARS I realized, and was kind of shocked by the prices. Lunch now costs what dinner used to cost (i.e. $8.99 for a lunch size pasta +$2 for a side salad - not unlimited). Their dinner pastas all seem to cost $15 or more now, although this does come with unlimited salad and bread. I still want to go back for dinner sometime soon, I like their food and am willing to pay for it, but I'm not used to seeing a meal jump from $12 to $16.

Wings were still on the menu at their Etobicoke location and the online menu.
