Found a bunch of older National Geographic magazines in the shed. These are from 70's & 80's and in good condition with maps.
Are they worth anything? Anyone know a site that lists some of the more collectible issues - hologram covers, Afghani girl, etc.
Thanks.

Just the ones that show African bobbies are worth something to some kids here.
Most on Ebay are not going for much...except for this one here (http://cgi.ebay.ca/National-Geographic-Magazines-1951-2005_W0QQitemZ6971925827QQcategoryZ280QQssPageName ZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem)

That's 24 years of magazines. Wonder how much shipping would be?

No bids on the big ones... my parents have a collection of several hundred, that they're tempted to throw out.

Antique stores sells these for about $1 each (with maps) or $0.50 (without maps).
BTW, these are all available on CDROMs now.

Certain National Geographics sell for almost 15 dollars. Others are $1-$8. The really older ones have a higher price..if they're in excellent condition.

They are almost considered any old magazines.
Except the content is better...
better.. then if you have a collection of seventeen magazines.

From what I recall, pretty good. He got them from my Aunt, why he got them, I don't know
