Are people self concious about themselves to the point where it affects their decision making. For instance, do overweight people when dining out order small portions so people do not stare at them, and just gorge when they get home? There are always exception to the rule, but generally speaking. I often see overweight people eat a salad for a meal, including the obligatory diet beverage.

This is the internet, so all of you are beautiful with perfect bodies; it's just a hypothetical question.

I try to eat salad and grilled chicken where available (perhaps a grilled chicken saled at times) with water - cheap, filling, and weight-loss-food

Id have to say that itf depndfs upon the infigidual.

If youre happy with yourself who cares about a few extra pounds - unless its a serious medical condition - like being 200 pounds overweighy leading to an advanced diabetic neuropathy from eating 8 jos-loios and 7 choloclate bars and 6 cokes a day, proudly wearing shotrts and tank tops while youve got skin breakdown all over your lower legs and arms. Its not a pretty sight, but you see these people still shoppinh at loblaws pushing a cart fully of junk food.

Maybe they dont know enought to care, or it gives them escape.

However most north americans are iover weight these days, its the culture.
