Seems this isn't published until the 11th, but anyone a member of their Leader board would know their sale began Aug 4th. Lots of sales, but as I only stumbled on it by accident and am a new golfer I don't know what's good and what's not. Best just to drop in and see. Looking at past threads it seems that last year they had a crazy deal on Nike woods for lefties.

Cheap and good list:

Adams Ovation Drivers and Fairway woods; supposed to be great and easy to hit - $125?

Mizuno Fairway Woods - $146 steel; $168 graphite

Cleveland 900 series forged wedges, left only, I think; gun metal or chrome - $98 (regular $168)

If somebody could watch the Callaway X-16s and these wedges for me; if they're cheaper within 30 days, I'll get some cash back!!

Yup, I grabbed em for $198 and I'm not a member - well I wasn't a member. They said since I was buying 2 sets they would give me a better price on both. I think we got members price on both and they even threw in the shortening of clubs for my wife and reduced the regripping fee 50%. So we basically got two sets of clubs, and bags for $500. Relative to their "retail" price and the price of beginner, for example, Canadian Tire and Walmart sets, the price would be very hard to beat. I also grabbed a Paradise sand wedge for $28.

I don't know if it costs to be a member - they just said we would be signed up for free after buying the clubs, which includes a free swing analysis.

Nope its free, just go to their website and sign up. You'll also receive correct me if I'm wrong a couple coupons, one for a free video lesson and I think a $5 off $50 coupon.

Last years sale was much better. I went today and the deals weren't much better than their normal every day sales.

I had about $1000 in my bank account just itching to be spent and I didn't see anything that made me say "wow.. I can't pass that up"

Oh I have tons of expenses, but I just sold my laptop and I still haven't put the money on either of my credit cards yet.

So the money is calling my name. And it's loud.

Additional markdowns were made today since it's the first day of the sale being advertised in the newspapers.

Good beginner set for $125.00, Jazz Omni w/graphite shafts, full 11pc set - pretty hot deal! Some nice bags also reduced further now, and balls.

Yes, but limited selection. I found one shirt that was regular $80 with 60% off. No way I would have bought it for $80, but $32 was about right :) My wife found a $10 golf sweater and a $10 pair of shorts. Lots of clothing not on sale though.
